Herpecin-LLip Balm Stick, 30 SPF, 0.1 Ounce (Pack of 2)

I LOVE this stuff. I get cold sores on my lips from sun exposure and this stuff is excellent! I grew up in California and used to get them often, but mostly during the summer. Then, I moved to New Mexico for grad school and instantly started getting more from the harsh weather here. Extreme winds and sun were killing my lips, so I picked some of this up at WalMart (they stopped carrying it at the store in my town which is why I'm here) and was really impressed. I work outside as a geologist, so I'm constantly applying this lip balm and I've noticed a marked decrease in the amount of cold sores I've been getting. When I moved here I was getting one every couple weeks (with normal SPF chapstick and sunblock) and it was super uncool, but now I get one maybe once every 2 months and that's usually from the day where I forget my my lip balm at home. For summer 2018, I lived in Tucson, Arizona where it was over 100 (Fahrenheit) every day. I worked outside every day at a copper mine and was getting blasted by the sun, but I only got one cold sore in 4 months and it was the first week I had arrived there. Immediately after I got that one I bought more of this lip balm and used it compulsively all day, every day and had a cold sore-free summer! I recommend this to all my friends who get cold sores and they swear by it too. Using this and taking L-Lysine supplements is a good combination too and couldn't hurt. Some people are not sure about the true benefits of lysine, but I think it really helps. I've got a background in science and a rich history of cold sores that can attest to its benefits. Although maybe its effects differ between people? Try it out and see for yourself! In summary, this is a fantastic product and it's really helped me out with self-confidence and is saving me tons of money on costly Abreva and other cold sore medication. Plus, it doesn't have a strong sunblock taste or greasy texture which I notice in some SPF lip balm, so it's pretty great all around. Enjoy!!! .

It helps if I have a fever blister, but it is also good for full-time use for moisturizing.

This product has kept me from getting cold sores when I'm out on the sun. I use it like any other chap stick, the texture is creamy and does not make my lipstick bleed. It actually help my lipstick stay on longer. There is no funny taste to this product and the SPF is 30. WIN! WIN!Why use such a big box for such a small item? Seems wasteful and takes up space in the delivery vehicle. Just saying.

I swear by this stuff. I’ve struggled with cold sores since I was in high school. I was sick in high school with an awful fever and got an outbreak for the first time. Ever since I would get them once a month almost. I started using this, life changing. Even if I have them I use the chapstick and it virtually disappears. I’ve bought this 3 different times.

Effective product. BUT need to remove the Oxybenzone (6% of active ingredient) which is disruptive to coral growth and is related to coral bleaching. Save the corals! Get Oxybenzone out of this product!

Fact.. Since I bought this product Ive never had one lump appear. My lip starts to tingle? I apply this and the lumps act like they will be hit by seal team six if they try to poke up. The tingle goes away within a minute. No joke.. I want to know what is in this stuff because it made the stuff my doctor gave me seem like my doctor was slow in the head.

I use this when i know that I will be at the beach, in the sun, hitting the slopes and feeling the wind on my face. I am prone to sun and fever blisters and this helps me avoid and stop them from developing.It is one of the few products that actually works the way it says it does!

My lips get very dry and I sometimes get cold sores on my lips and this product is the only one I will ever use!!! I used to get a prescription and this product is much better!!! Highly Recommend!!!
