I'm guessing this is handmade. If so its really cool and really good craftsmanship. If it's not, then this isn't the quality I'd expect for something like this. I do believe its handmade. And since I do, I'd say this is beautifully made. It seems flimsy, but its got an ancient feel and vibe. Really cool gift idea, thats for sure. It's s fun and functional journal. I hope it last for quite some time. Good overall quality and value.

This is another in a long line of products with faux-antique paper, artifically yellowed, rough cut, and made to look like it was homemade paper. That much is really well done, and the notebook encompasses a large page count.The leather cover has a clever design with a sort of blue marble eye in the center encased in a gold colored mesh and outer ring. That's really quite cool. There are mystical designs in the leather which add to the effect. The book is held closed by a metal clasp with a pin mechanism, which works much better than those found on other books of this type.The leather cover, however, is really flimsy and feels cheap, almost toy-like. However, that's the only defect, so the book still rates four stars.I don't know if this is actually a spell book, but it's certainly a journal or notebook. I also don't know anything about Dr. Strange or the Eye of Agamotto, but the item is a lot of fun and can be put to practical use.

This is a must for any Dr. Strange fan. This is a blank journal, diary, that you can add whatever you want from your daily life to whatever spell you have figured out. The paper is well made and takes ink easily. I only use fountain pens in my journal as that is all one should use. I have learned how to use a fountain pen just to write in my journals.The materials used in the creation of this journal are pretty good. The binding feels on and the paper is fine. Everything about this journal is good and should last a while if it is take care of.If you are looking for a cool gift for a Dr, Strange fan this would be it. If you are looking for something to give to someone the is neat this is it as well. These journals will not be something the person who gets it will get multiples of.

The media could not be loaded.  The comic geek that is still alive and well in me absolutely adores this! I was so happy to have it in my hot little hands. The only thing I think that could improve this is having it designed so that it laid open a little bit better and that there were a few more details in all the markings, swirls and stuff on the cover. But other than that, I have no complaints and I can't wait to make a home for this in my collection of all things comic book and fandom.

i really like this. it's really cool looking. i like that the pages feel old and worn, like this journal has been around for a while. i think it would have taken away from the aesthetic if they had used new white paper. while i got this for myself, because i'm a collector of journals. this would make a really cool gift for anyone that likes dr. strange.

I got this for my son that loves drawing and loves journals. Here is his review!STYLE It’s very rustic and old looking. It almost looks like it is authentically old!DRAWING It’s not good for drawing with a pencil, the paper just don’t take pencil. Pen works ok, although the pages are thin and get stuck together easily. The pages are textured and ripped/cut to mimic ancient paper.QUALITY The cover is a little bit thin and the lock is a little bit awkward to use since it doesn’t line up just right.Overall, it would be a very cool looking gift.

This is nice-looking journal. I have mostly used leather journals. This one was a fun find. I am a Dr. Strange fan and could not pass up a cool looking journal adorned with the Eye of Agamotto! The other designs on the leather fit the theme well and it's nice to look at in all honesty. The latching item on the side keeps the journal from opening. I tend to use my journals as impromptu scrap books and the latch is easy to use and keeps loose items in. It is a secure fit and I like that. I am a sucker for vintage paper and this journal has great looking and feeling paper. I checked how it takes a ball point pen and a roller ball pen. They both work well with the paper. I have not checked how a fountain pen will work yet. All in all, I am looking forward to journaling with it. I highly recommend the item.

I ordered this for a friend and was blown away by how cool it looked in person. The color and style is as seen in the photo, there was some glue residue on the book cover, but it was hidden under the strap so it's not too noticeable. I really love the pages and it will make an amazing gift for my Marvel-loving friend.
