Such an addictive and suspenseful page turner. I was completely captivated by this duet and the characters.Chloe is a newly qualified teacher who finds herself on the run and ends up in the mafia world of Nikolai, her intense and devastatingly handsome employer. The instant attraction between these two was palpable and intense. It was never a question of, if they were going to be together, but when.The secondary characters are just as intriguing and vital to the development of the plot. I particularly loved sweet Slava and the interactions between him and the grownups in his life.There is passion, humour, unexpected events, and some explosive revelations with an all guns blazing, grand finale.The author has such an incredible skill when it comes to creating threatening, sinister worlds with multi-faceted characters.The ending is perfect…a 5 star, absolute must read… I received advanced copies of the books in the duet from the author.

What can I say?...Anna Zaires has once again written a masterpiece! She is definitely up top with regards to the darker dangerous worlds!!We have Chloe who is on the run - although she doesn't actually know why! She just knows if she's caught, she's as good as d***!Then there's Nikolai... He's tall, dark, undeniably handsome with an air of darkness around him and I have to say, that Russian mobster most definitely has me all hot and bothered...Then we have the secrets, which you know aren't going to be your typical innocent omissions, hell no - these secrets are dark and gritty and will have you gripping onto your seat!!And we can't forget Slava, his cute and adorable 5year young superhero son who deserves so much love....An excellent read and I can't wait to read more in this world!!!

I loved it! The chemistry between Nikolai and Chloe sizzles from their first meeting, getting hotter and hotter throughout this delicious slow burn, dark romance.As usual Anna Zaires brings us an exciting storyline that’s full of suspense and intrigue as well as super steamy and sexy, and as always I was well and truly hooked.

I absolutely loved reading these books all way through but I hope there’s a follow up because the ending is not good thank you
