need to sand down flat side so it will work on fero rod
I'm happy I read other reviews before purchasing because just like they state you need to sand/ grind the flat side a little to get them to create a spark on a Fero rod. besides that I like them.

Good for low profile/compact fire kits
They are thick and sturdy, and small, so can be a little difficult getting a good grip on them, will be tough to use in cold weather, but good for emergency/compact kits.

Cheap sparks at a cost
While it's a steel toggle for Paracord crafts, the edges are all rounded so I only assume you're expected to strike the ferro rods with the teeth side, which is considerably sharp for tinder scraping, making any softer rod look like it was attacked by a bear. I put one through the trials and filed down the flat side until I had a 90° angle and I had Ferro safe sparks. It made fire, so with semi functionality it works as intended if you're in a pinch. I'll personally probably lean toward the ceramic strikers from here on.

Not hard enuff
Dislike to much paint on striker Metal is to soft does not produce a good spark Like design shape is goodEasy to grip Note have not tried a larger Ferro rod only use short small ones

Quality of the product
The striker works, but it would work even better. If it was bigger, someone with big hands, makes it difficult for such a small object to strike with.
