Super Wings – It Takes Teamwork

It was OK, but my son didn’t really like it. It was really boring.

(Wife): Our three-year-old daughter enjoyed watching this series and often requested it until we got through all the episodes.OverviewThis series does not contain much that I would consider scary, other than an occasional somewhat perilous situation, in which Dizzy the rescue helicopter came and saved the characters. It is also NOT a boring series in my opinion. As an adult, I enjoyed it, too.The theme song can get old, unless you like rockin' superhero-style theme songs.StrengthsThis series is more entertaining than educational; but it does teach viewers some things about geography and culture, which I was not expecting. I googled a few concepts mentioned in the series, such as the caves, fairy chimneys and ballooning in Cappadocia, Turkey, and the existence of birds of paradise (the Papuan / Indonesian birds, as opposed to the plants of the same name). They weren't making the stuff up in the series. I was impressed.While I think that the animation of some of the human characters demonstrated movements that I'd consider too quick for natural movement, I think that other than that, the series was well-done and generally well-rendered -- higher-quality than a lot of other animated shorts for kids.The fact that the series is generally suitable for ages around 3+ and (in my opinion) interesting / not boring or silly / suitable for older kids and parents as well is a trait that sets this series apart from most other kids' series out there right now -- and is a quality that I think is "needed" and much-appreciated.WeaknessesNow, although I think this was a pretty good series, the episodes are short; it only ran for one season (although there are 52 episodes); and some folks have had difficulties loading or playing this series, as opposed to other young kids' videos on Amazon.ConclusionIf you can get this series to work, I think it would be worth letting your kids watch, especially if they're in to superheroes, talking planes and robots.

Our kids first discovered this show on their own through Amazon Freetime. We travel a lot, and our kids even recognized some of the places that we have been in this show. While it is a basic kid show, we have enjoyed watching it with our 2-4 year olds as well. It follows the same script every episode - starting with the planes discussing or doing something that will become relevant in the episode, then Jet (the red delivery plane) being sent to deliver a package to a child somewhere in the world. Towards the middle of the series, they introduce a foreign word in each episode. Sometimes the choice of word is fairly basic, but still fun. The second half of each episode involves working through a problem with the child that got the package. Well designed, thought out, and we purchased so that we could have them with us and support the show with our wallets.

My baby daughter is now 6 months old and she loves Superwings since she was 4 months old. I can’t wait to get it. Hope it’s enough episodes to make her smile without repeating them to much. I have chosen to not have ya watch tv more than an hour a week to not cook our eyes or get retina cancer which is increasingly becoming more common around the world due to the bright LED screens on phones, tablets, mobile devices and tv’s. Plus, it’s a good habit to help her learn to entertain herself without the need for technology as mental and visual stimulation.

My kids (ages 3 and 4) absolutely love this show. They were very excited to get the action figures for Christmas and birthdays (however, the quality of the action figures is another issue entitely). I like that there are 50-ish episodes in the first season alone, and that each episode is only about 12 minutes. It's a nice treat to let them watch one, without turning them into couch potatoes. I also like that it subtly teaches geography and simple words in other languages in a non-patronizing way (I. E. Dora the Explorer). It's a step beyond the kiddie shows like Sesame Street, Dora, and Diego, probably most appropriate for the 4-8 year age range.

My youngest grandson turns four years old tomorrow! I saw him and his brother yesterday. I had asked my son what he might be like for his birthday, and he said that this little guy LOVES Super Wings. I ordered him three, 5" transformer toys and this DVD movie, which he and his brother will enjoy. they watch the DVDs in their van. There was a lot of jumping up and down and hootin' and hollerin' when they saw the DVD!

甥の誕生日にこちらのDVDが欲しいと頼まれ購入しましたが、届いた時点でケースが破損しており閉まらない状態でした。緩衝材などで梱包されておらず、薄いボール紙で包んだだけの梱包だったのが原因かと思います。怪我をしたら危ないので本当はこのまま渡したくないのですが、海外からの発送のため2週間以上待っており、誕生日には間に合わないので諦めます。非常に残念です。

Mein Sohn liebt Superwings und schaut sie auch gerne im Fernsehen an.Das Buch mochte er aber gar nicht und dabei liebt er Bücher. Es kam jetzt nach einem Jahr rumliegen weg.Die Geschichten sind absolut emotionslos geschrieben. Habe weder Witz, noch Charme. Da gibt es wirklich Tausend bessere Kinderbücher.

Ce DVD est super pour les plus petits. Les histoires sont courtes, mignonnes et pleines de couleur. Pas de violence. Mon fils de 3ans regarde et apprécie. Il s'agit de petits avions qui apportent du courier dans différents pays/régions d'Europe et il leur arrive de gentilles aventures. Il y a donc un petit coté instructif/découverte. Je recommande, c'est sympa pour les petits. Les épisodes sont assez courts 10-15min environ. Le plus c'est l'option "définir le temps de visionnage": nous pouvons limiter la durée à 30min 1h ou 1h30. Bref: Très bien! :-)

My son is happy with the DVD, I on the other hand am unhappy with the fact that there is only 7 episodes on it, season 1 episodes 1-7!! Guess that's what you get for $10, but all in all quality is great 👍🏼
