After an electrical surge, or just the poltergeists playing around again, the light in the bathroom we had much like these decided it wanted to melt. It was old, the bathroom gets very humid, and I'm going to blame its micro-Chernobyl on some corrosion.Finding a replacement for such a handy thing was harder than I expected. Everyone seems to think we want the "night lite" to be running all the time when it's dark by putting in light-sensors. Nope. I want it on when I want it on and I want it off when I want it off and to hell with the reality of night and day. I'm just that way. Call me an OCD control freak.In any event, the light sensing option was all I could find until I found these and immediately snapped them up. I also paired them with the LED-style bulbs for more bulb longevity and in the time it took Prime to get it to me, I was back in business controlling the illumination in my room of bath when and as I wanted like a good, little OCD control freak loves.The price was great, the construction about the same as the other one (which was about ten years old when it decided to part this life for reincarnation as some store's plastic bag), the switches were good and both worked great. It did exactly what it said it would do and we even put one in the other bathroom. It was a 2-fer for us.If you're an OCD control freak who has to have full control over your illumination levels, you can't go wrong with this. It's not too bright, and that's a good thing.

Glad to find a night light with these features: soft warm glow with a manual switch and the bulb can be replaced.

So nice to find a night-light with a bulb that you can choose how bright you want it, and with an on/off switch. Because a bathroom tends to be a dark room all the time, an automatic light is not energy-efficient as it would be on all the time. Because this has a switch, it is energy-efficient. I like to use this night-light not only at home but when travelling, because one does not know if a bathroom is dark all the time in an unknown location, hence the convenience of the switch. Good price too.

I don't recommend this night light because it only lights up a very small area directly around the light.

A solid standard night light uses a incandescent bulb which is nice if you like a warm color temperature it's also has a switch which is great if you hate the dumb sensors, all in all it's a good little lamp.

It is very easy to operate. Good light source and not so bright that it annoys anyone, and yet bright enough to see what I am doing in the bathroom

You turn the switch on and the light turns on. You put it in the off position and the light still stays on. You actually have to unplug the light. Clearly faulty.

This is definitely not LED. The description says it is, packaging and light itself does not say that. Paid extra bc I wanted the manual switch but this thing is incandescent!
