I bought these to use with a nail repair kit as it mentioned buffing the nails after using the powder to fix a broken nail was needed. I recently broke an nail used the other product, and used one of the buffers after applying the powder to bond the nail. The buffers work very well with the product. There are no ridges left, and polish is not matte after applying as others had commented on for the nail repair kit. The buffer worked perfectly! Having five buffers, and five emery boards makes this a great purchase. I would recommend these for anyone, not just for using with a repair kit, like I did, but for anyone. I am aware buffing the nails isn't always recommmended however, for those who do buff the nails, or need it to use with a repair kit these work perfectly!

Purchased to use in metalwork on copper and silver. To knock out file marks on the edges of some of my work. The colorful blocks do have a nice sanding surface rather than a buffing surface that you might find in the white ones. The emery sticks can be used the same way, but I like the soft Give in the blocks.Emery sticks also good for cleaning carbon buildup off of gas water heater igniter. Just turn everything off first. Google a how to video! Don’t want anyone getting hurt for gawsh sakes. Or breaking a nail.

I see some negative reviews on these because people were expecting buffers for bare nails. If that's what you're looking for you should definitely pass on these. They are for doing gel nails, etc. They will not give you that smooth shiny surface you're looking for with bare nails. These are designed to rough up your nail surface for polish. They are about as abrasive as the pink blocks from that popular brick and mortar beauty supply store we all shop at. They are slightly smaller than those but big enough to work with. They seem to be of comparable quality but I've only used one of them twice. They will serve my purposes fine.

The 10 Piece Nail Files and Buffers are excellent tools for a perfect at-home manicure. The nail files are too quality and durable and the buffers provide a smooth, contoured nail after filing. The price is a sheer bonus, as well. Thank you!

Purchased these to replace all the old files and buffer squares I had laying around. I do my own acrylic/gels so these are the perfect grit to do them quickly. Nail files are the same grit for all 5, noticed the polishers have some variation of grit. Seems like 3 are 180 and the last two are a little more finer. Just a note, if you are looking for something to smoother to polish your natural nail, you still need to purchase. All in all, great product at a great price. Will order again.

Only wish they were marked, stating which ones they should be used for, beware these are not useful for buffing after you finish. They should include one for that purpose, that would make this package so much better.

I have natural nails so I don't have to use very often. Holding up well. Unless I lose them, this kit wil llast me about 5 yrs. One nail file/buffer per year. Love the colors of the buffers. I thought having color buffers would weaken their effectiveness but not at all. Would make great stocking stuffers. You will not regret this purchase.
