I have waited about 6 weeks after purchase to write this review. I am very impressed with this bag. I wanted a red (red red, not orangey red) leather tote. But I did not want a huge tote. I wanted a tote that would hold my regular handbag items plus a ball of yarn. I love to crochet and want to be able to carry a ball of yarn and crochet hook for making a pot holder or baby hat. So, first of all, this bag is light compared to other leather bags. I normally carry a wristlet/wallet (7.75" x 4" x 0.5"), phone, Tablet, hairbrush, 2 ink pens, 2.5 oz lotion, 2-3 lip products, a protein bar, skittles (my hubby is diabetic), pain reliever, keys, inhaler, hair stuff, emergency kit (safety pins, button, thread, Bobby pins, etc), a ball of yarn, crochet hook and a 20oz bottle of water or coke. And this bag does not have stuff spilling out of the top! Everything fits nicely. There are two zipper pockets inside and one zipper outside. Also two open top pockets inside (perfect place for my phone and inhaler). The color is nice, the outside feels nice and soft, the inside is a nice solid medium brown, the straps appear to be well sewn and are comfortable on the shoulder. So far (6 weeks of use from purchase), I am a very happy camper. If I would use other colors, I would purchase other colors, but I only use a red handbag -- helps me keep up with it. One note: if I was trying to carry all MY normal stuff plus diapers, baby clothes, bottle, I would want a little bit larger bag.

I bought this bag 5 years ago in an effort to wean myself off cheap, non-leather fast fashion bags. It’s a great hobo bag shape that is very versatile. After maybe 1 year of extensive use one of the sides of the magnetic clasp came loose. Otherwise the bag was still in great shape. I like it’s classic and understated looks. In it’s fourth year the finish on the leather started to show wear, and since everything else still looked virtually like new I had a cobbler re-dye the black and attach a new clasp. So now for about 50% of the cost of a new one I have a brand new bag with nothing going to waste. If the clasp hadn’t fallen off relatively early I would give 5 stars for sure.

This bag totally exceeded my expectations especially for the price. Love the soft leather and all the compartments inside and the very nice lining. Great overall and highly recommend.

The lining inside my purse was so short, it did not go to the bottom of the purse, therefore making the purse slouch at the bottom. I ended up, cutting the lining out of my purse, as there was so many compartments and zippers, that I found it difficult to get my wallet and phone out of my purse, or to find anything else. The leather is wonderful quality. The color is great. The straps are a great length. That is why I decided to keep the purse and alter it the way I did.

I bought this bag because most bags fall off my shoulders. This purse doesn’t fall off and holds a LOT of things.

I am miserable about this bag. The chemical stench it emitted when I first received this was revolting. I have since aired it out for weeks in a closet but had to remove the bag from there because the odor was permeating the entire closet, have left it in a steamy bathroom, putting an unopened bar of soap in it. I’ve left it in the garage, and in the laundry room—same problem. Odor dissipated a minuscule amount after doing all this and I had hoped that eventually the stink would be completely gone. Well, it hasn’t gone, and I will not carry this bag around others due to the bad odor that comes off it. This tells me that either the bag is fake leather or it’s a cheap leather. Either way it’s definitely treated with what is probably a very unhealthy chemical. I should have stuck to my The Sak bags of which I have several and just paid a little more—those bags never stink. The seller wrote in response to my initial review asking that I just continue to air it out. In this case they should have provided an outright replacement. My money went down the drain with this bag—don’t make the same mistake.
