NFPA 70: National Electrical Code (NEC) Handbook, 2017 Edition

Added a small solar system to my house and needed it to meet NEC for AHJ inspection and it worked out perfect. Price was better than other places. This is the best version for the occasional user because of all the extra details provided verses getting just the code only book. Glad to be able to find this kind of stuff on Amazon.

The NEC Handbook is an absolute must have if you are either unfamiliar with the Code or trying to understand whether plans are properly designed or properly constructed. The pictures and blue text (the Handbook comments and explanations) are extremely helpful and the handbook also includes some example calculations. Every extra $$$ you spend for the Handbook is a worthwhile investment.

Now this is the way to write a handbook. I bought one of these 2 editions ago in 2011, and this new 2017 is also very helpful with all the many new changes this year (too many changes in my opinion). Great explanations and drawings. Expensive but worth it for all the good info.

What can I say, it's a must have if your doing legal electrical work. I only wish it was every 4 or 5 years instead of 3...

Always by the hand book instead of the NEC code book.The descriptions the explanations and the artwork, make applying the code so much easier. it's much more than the regular code book but it's worth 10 times value with all of its really important information between the covers. Don't buy the regular code book Always by the handbook

The book definitely has some where on it. The binders beat up and pages have creases in them. It was supposed to be new. I don’t have time to return it though. I needed a study guide right away for a test.
