grabber
Works great for light weight things. It's not sturdy enough to pick up heavy items as it is all plastic but still works great for little items.

BROKEN FROM RUST DO NOT BUY
On year review: Every component rusted out and no lo works. The cable snapped and the spring lock stopped working. It’s now in the trash. If the components aren’t stainless expect to replace it every year. Probably more like 6 months on a salt water tank. Would not recommend

Game changer for aquarium owners
I am a welll educated and experienced aquarium owner. I have owned fish tanks for over 15 years. Currently I have a 65 gallon fish tank and a 37 gallon fish tank and I’m in the process of putting together a 20 gallon fish tank. All of them are freshwater now the biggest problems that I have had when dealing with my aquariums are the maintenance. Everyone knows what a pain it is to maintain an aquarium and anyone that doesn’t think it’s a pain to maintain an Aquarian is someone that’s not taking good care of their aquarium, because good aquarium maintenance is hard. I have used lots and lots of different ways to clean out my aquarium and the way that I have done it in the past just has not worked well. I used to use a water changer that I would connect to the Fossett of my sink and use that to clean out my aquarium. I didn’t like that for a lot of reasons one of the biggest reasons is because it leaks water everywhere and also another reason is that it’s really difficult to store and would develop mold and mildew in the tubes so then I would go to using large buckets well if you want to use large buckets you first of all have to have a good convenient space to put them in you need to be able to Wipe them out and rinse them out and you need to have access to a sink that lets you put the bucket in it and a Fossett that lets you fill the bucket without getting water everywhere, dragging heavy buckets of water and then pouring them into my aquarium, has done nothing but Ruin my floor and get water everywhere. I solve the bucket problem by purchasing large 5 gallon jugs with screw in containers from a restaurant supply store so I am able to fill up my water at the sink easily screw the cap on luggage to the aquarium and avoid water from splashing everywhere in the kitchen . I also bought myself a sturdy little stepstool so I use that to help me make sure that I pour the water in the aquarium without it splashing out everywhere. And I also have shoulder length gloves that I use so that when I’m reaching into my aquarium to pick up decor so that I can clean around it, I am not going to pollute the aquarium but what’s great for this product is that I don’t have to use gloves , I can fold it up and so it fits into tight spaces. It’s awesome because you can extend it and have it at any angle and since it’s so sturdy I can easily pick up very very heavy rocks that I have in the aquarium without any problem in the past, I would have to get on the stepstool, put my elbow, my shoulder, length Levon, and then reach all the way down the aquarium and pick up the decor. Now all I have to do is use the grabber move the decor as I want to, and that’s it. It allows me to avoid being concerned about possibly polluting the tank with soap And it’s a lot less messy than having to put your entire arm and the aquarium. It folds up so nicely that I can easily store near my CLARiiON in the past. I had to store all the items upstairs in my upstairs closet because everything is so big and bulky, I didn’t have room for it , if you want some thing that you can use to grab objects in general that are too high this is an awesome product. It’s so strong you can grab things quite easily and it’s not going to break. I love it I bought a couple I will never be without some thing like this to maintain my aquariums because it’s just wonderful and another thing about it is not having to put my hand and arm into the aquarium really really takes a lot of work out of the process , so I give this a A+ review and I hope the tips that I listed I had above about purchasing elbow length gloves getting jugs with strong caps are helpful for you

Cheap, ok in a pinch I guess
The joint is weak, and will come out of place with little force when locked. Spring is already rusted, not sure if this is safe for aquarium. It's really cheap

Helpful for storing away, but not sturdy
I got this for our tall 39 gallon Bow Front fish tank, in the hopes that it would store away in the cupboard easily and save space. I love that it folds down to be more compact, but I'm rating it lower because the locking mechanism in the center broke on the first day so that it will not actually lock and stay extended. It is still functional (the grabbing mechanism still works) if I duct tape the center so it is always open, but now I can't fold it down any longer, which defeats the purpose and gets frustrating.

Good grabber
I really like this grabber. The thing against it is, it is just big enough to make it difficult maneuvering the items in my 5.5 gallon tank. Half the size with the same length and strength would be perfect. Other than that, it does pick up the heavier decorations well and lets me pull them out of the tank easily.

Does it's job well
I usually use it with my aquarium and it works awesome for picking things up to clean.I could see it being used for many different needs and it bends to different degrees which can really help sometimes.

Nice
Works great! One os my tanks is 31 inches tall. This helps reach the bottom without have to use a step ladder.
