I ordered the wrong thing, but it is good quality. It does not include arrows/labels
I thought I was getting a bunch of loose segments of each bead quantity that we could use for addition and multiplication, but each quantity is a chain that goes up the the square of that quantity. It has been very useful for skip counting and for illustrating limited multiplication tables, squares, and square roots. I think seeing the visual of eight segments of eight beads totaling 64 beads has helped him better understand the concrete concept of multiplication. The wooden box is lovely, but don't try to store it on its side. The pieces will mix together, and the lid will likely come off. We bought a pdf file of numbered "arrows" from Teachers Pay Teachers to label quantities as he counts.

High quality unit chain beads for skip counting
This is a high quality and sturdy set of unit bead chains. I am pleased with the quality of this product, but the description is lacking and it’s hard to tell from the photos that these are for SKIP COUNTING. Being new to homeschooling a Montessori student, I would have loved a more in-depth description of what these chain beads are for. I have to purchase a separate unit bead set so that my student has the individual beads. But now knowing what these chains are for, we will get around to using them at a later time and that’s okay. Just wasn’t what I was expecting based on the picture.

amount of beads.
I have no explanation why they give only 2 beads of ones. and two of twos. there is no pattern rules on the amount of bead of each chain given. I was planning to make thrill making my girl build 16, 26, 36 and so forth. i cant with only two beads of ones. I guess i would be forced to use 10 an six and so forth. i was planning to use to introduce multiplication: how can i with only 2 beads of 2 . I wish i had this info but it was not described on website nor by any reviewer (at least by the time of my purchase). Guess what: the picture actually is the closest to real item, but how can i count in the picture?. Here is the count ( i hate i had to buy it to know the product so here you have):bead of 1 : there are twobead of 2: there are 4bead of 3:there are 6bead of 4:there are 8bead of 5 there are 10bead of 6 there are 12bead of 7 there are 14bead of 8 there are 16beads of 9 there are 18beads of 10 there are 20I guess above may be good for another peoplewish i had explanation in order to see was not for my need. And i found that there is a metal that DO NOT COME OUT to separate every 10. so for example the beads of six will have ten joint by a metal and six loose. All what i need is beads. each group same amount of ten would have work for me.
