OSD AudioWeatherproof 8" in Ceiling Dual Tweeter Single Stereo Speaker ICE800TTWRS Single White

I paired these with an inexpensive amplifier and they are great. I am glad I went with the 8 inch speakers, as their bass response is much nicer sounding than I was expecting. The only 'negative' I have is that their mounting mechanism could use a bit of work. My ceiling here is not drywall, it's harder and thinner than drywall and the mounting mechanism does not seem to have been made with ceiling this thin in mind. They still work and are mounted up there, there is just a little bit more give than I think is expected.

Didn’t want to spend the money for klipsch like the rest of the house as these would be outdoors, but wow! They sound amazing!!! More bass response than the klipsch inside however these are also a bigger speaker!!!

I installed these in my Patio, They have great sound output. I turned the volume up and there was no distortion. I bought two more pairs, one for the dinning room and one for my Boat. Yes, they are that good. I have speakers in my living room, and I am thinking I might replace them as well, but one project at a time. I looked at several other speakers, they all look to be about the same price but people were not satisfied with the sound output of them. These had higher reviews and some said the sound quality was good and now I see why, they sound great. They shipped them out quickly. Only complaint I would register is that the template they give us is easily torn (only one for the set) as mine did on the patio, so I used the face-plate grill, just unsnap it, trace the outline of it and it was the perfect size. The grill went back on without issues. Great value for the price.

Installation went according to directions, very easy to install once prepped(running wires/cutting holes).Sound is much better than I expected for the price. Just run the mounting tab screws all the way up and back down before installing so they go easy while you are trying to hold the speaker and screw the mounting tabs down.

The media could not be loaded.  These speakers ROCK!!! Great balance in sound and the bass sound of this speaker will surprise you... I own 3 of these...

I was a little hesitant with these outdoor/wet rated speakers at first, while testing them on the bench.They just didn't sound all that good. The mid and higher ranges were there, but the bass was fairly lacking. Thankfully after installing in the ceiling, the space behind added to the bass and the sound was improved.Overall the build quality seems good, I appreciate that the cones don't have tweeter wires coming though them, like many speakers do.The tabs for holding the speakers in are a little finicky, especially if you are uninstalling them to make a change, but they do work and I'm happy with the design overall.I am quite disappointed in the power handling however. Using a 20 watt amplifier I am able to cause distortion with the speakers, which is VERY far from their advertised 150 watt handling. So a big let down there. Frankly I'm tired of speaker companies/re-branders claiming significant power handling which isn't remotely true. So on that mark, OSD fails miserably and need to fix this falsification.So if you can live with 15 watts of reliable power handling without distortion, then these may fit the bill. Overpriced for what they can actually do, thus 3 stars.

1. They sound pretty good.2. Installation was simple.3. They look very good.I put these in a vaulted ceiling in a bathroom. I tested these before installing with them propped up in chairs and they sounded GREAT. After install, they didn't sound quite as good but still perform very well. I blame the room characteristics for drop in sound quality after install. They seem to have lost some of the high end and are a bit heavy in the mid's. I put a bucket over the back of each one to keep the blown in insulation out of the speakers and to see if it would somehow send the missing treble back in to the room and not in the attic. You would think that would make them produce more bass but whatever its doing it made a big difference.

I'm using the dual voice coil version of this speaker in my bathroom, and I've got to say, wow! I didn't need audiophile level accuracy, as I'm going to be listening to music primarily in the shower, but it sounds great and the base response far exceeded my expectation. I've got it in an infinite baffle setup currently, I in a wall that the cavity is open on the back of, and it sounds stellar in this application. At some point I'll seal the wall up and if I remember update my review, but I couldn't justify spending more money on something else with the way this speaker sounds if I were doing it again!

Insatalled two ICE800TTWRSs in my back deck ceiling a month ago. Matched them with a Moukey MAMP1 amplifier. I wasn't expecting the bi-amp version of the speakers as the amp only has two outputs so I bi-wired the speakers. Man they sound good. Plenty loud. Clarity is very good and the bass is in your face. Not audiophile but better than expected and perfect for the application. I imagine bi-amping would only improve the sound. Hopefully they last. Oh, and I painted them black.

I have been building a house and installed much more expensive speakers inside. Side by side they don't have the punch of the more expensive ones, but for the price they sound great particularly at the lower volumes that I use them for to avoid neighbour conflicts.

I've purchased several items from OSD and have never been disappointed. I installed this speaker in the ceiling outside my shower and it sounds amazing. You cannot beat this price.

Sounds really good, Easy to install. 2 months in and no problems in our bathroom ceiling. Would recommend!
