Nice Images, Nice system, but won't record, or connect to Ethernet
ORIGINAL POST: Monday, Feb. 4th, 2019: The live image quality is as good as it should be at both, day and night, as you can see on the picture I included. The problems we are having are: 1. While it is directly connected to the Ethernet, with the RJ45 cable as it requires for online viewing, we cannot get the DVR to engage online, no matter what we try. 2. We cannot get the recording to start. The settings screen does not acknowledge the DVR may have a drive in it. And judging by its behavior, it may very well not have one. It does not show up on the settings screen, as it does on the YouTube video. I tried a 64G USB drive in both ports, to see if it would engage recording, but this doesn't work, either. 3. It requires too many -different- login credentials to get the system to run, to manage it, to get to the settings, to login online and with the app. Requires a different user name and password for each process. Now, I don't know which credentials are for what, and I can't get back into the "main menu," or any of the settings. 4. I tried every avenue to get Tech Support to help me. I just got a reply back this morning, asking me for an order number, using facebook messenger. I replied that I ordered the system from Amazon (as opposed to their website), then I sent them the image of the invoice/order number, but have had no reply since their only one this morning, 14 hours ago, which also took them 14 hours to send, following my initial notification yesterday. I tried online, I tried starting a ticket as they offer, I tried using WhatsApp as they have on their website to contact them, didn't work; can't use WhatsApp without the other party acknowledging your contact. Can't "CALL" them, as they write somewhere replying to people's comments; there is no phone number to call. Records for the online request for service or the ticket created are not found anywhere on my account page, as there is no link to follow for this. I bought the system in Dec. 2017, but it was just this week I was able to get someone to get in here to install it. It took A LOT of work to get it all wired up around my house, and it's an expensive job! He did a great job, we still have 1 more camera to add, everything looks great, the images are very nice, as I said, everything looks like it's ready to go, but -just -cannot- get- through (or into)- the settings. The tech who installed the system is also stumped, and can't figure out why the recording drive doesn't show up on the menu of drives, or why the machines won't communicate with each other (the wifi and the DVR). So there. If you want a system that is nice looking and has great images, keep your clothes on when you're out there! this is a good one. If you want a system that records, you may or may not get one delivered. Based on other users' reviews, seems like it's hit or miss. I got the miss. Must have been a holiday at the factory. (?) If you hope for a gadget that is well supported with a reliable customer service platform, in spite of what they advertise, this brand may not be your gig. Me? I'm stuck with this system. It cost too much to purchase, to install it, and all the wires are already in the soffit all around my house. I can only hope for Tech Support to come to the rescue. I will update my review, and maybe improve my rating if they reach out to me and get this going.UPDATE: Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019: This is 1 of at least 2 updates. This update serves to acknowledge the progression of this issue I've had with Zosi Tech Support (the "UNsupport" group). I contacted Emma, the Amazon Sales Rep. for this product, whose information I was lucky to find along another customer's Reviews. I attempted to get Zosi Tech support to help for 8 days, and it was becoming increasingly a joke, to the point they started insulting me. It is safe to say, those folks in that group, have NO people skills whatsoever, let alone, any notion of what customer service is. Of note: I work in the public sector, and all my work is focused around helping people; I'm easy going and very patient by nature, so I KNOW what good "customer service" standards are all about. So as a last resort, I contacted Emma via an email, explaining the whole situation. She replied promptly each time, within minutes practically. I will admit, I was shocked! By then, I had confirmed that 1 of the 2 DVR boxes DID NOT have a drive in it to record the surveillance. When I switched DVR boxes (fortunately, this system came with 2), sure enough! the disk showed up in the settings menu. And it is now recording. The only problem we still have is with the connection to WiFi, which is still not happening. This feature is important so that we can monitor activity when away from home, or at least receive the activity alerts. Emma has offered to send the 2 updated DVR's in return for the ones I installed last week. She also advised there is an updated app that services the system, and has offered to guide me through the installation process.Another update is, today we noticed the image in 1 of the cameras is distorted already, while the others are still impeccable. This may be an easy fix, but I don't know yet.I will continue updating until the system is up and running as it's supposed to be. Thank you for reading. I hope this helps in making your purchase decision.UPDATE: Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019: Received the new DVR, with a Disk in it, and using a different app than what the original system guides you to do, everything is up and running, and I am now able to monitor activity remotely. The app that works is "Zosi Smart," NOT "Zosi View." The one issue I noticed is, if the system goes offline, I am not able to reset it or reconnect Remotely. I had to do it once I returned home, at the side of the system. Ok, that's all I have for now. Thank you, EMMA, for all your help! Hopefully, this will continue to work. I am only worried for when I am away, now.

CHECK THE TIPS IN MY REVIEW! - updated from 3 back to 5
Heres the deal. I installed these on a rental house where Im having tenant issues. For that purpose they work. They are inexpensive and I had access to my own hard disks. The Good:Camera quality is surprisingly good in both resolution and physical durability. They do not feel cheap and light. Hopefully time will tell how waterproof they are. The seller seems to have good reviews on backing up the warranty though so again we'll see how it all turns out. Its also nice the system can go up to 8 channels, so there is room to add more. The resolution is very good as well and it gives the choice of standard or high res when viewing the app depending on how fast you want the buffer to run depending on your connection. High res is extremely nice. The Bad:Software just sucks. Its a PITA to get working. Ive hooked up numerous systems, even my own SWANN system (which is very nice when you get it up and running) but this one just does NOT want to cooperate. First it makes you create a random account for password retrieval, which is odd because there is no reason to ever retrieve a password since logging on the system requires the "LOCAL" account password. For that you can simply reset the system. Being that this is a VERY foreign (Chinese) system, it sort of makes you wonder. Secondly getting the system just to start working with the app was insanely difficult and the instructions are HORRIBLE. I will explain below in my tips for setting up.Also the android app (which I use) is pretty bad. It works on my phone (pixel 2), its works on my tenants phone (samsung) but is not compatible with my pixel C? Also it does require some odd permissions. Go in and turn off all the access in android that the app doesnt need like phone, microphone and any others. Im going to try one by one turning them all off until it just doesnt work. I dont like it wants local storage access (which might be for playback), location or camera either.I would like to install this on my pixel c tablet but it is not compatible. Also On the samsung phone you can get a 4 window view but for some reason on my pixel 2 Im only able to view one camera at a time. Have NOT figured this out.Now for some tips on setting up which I plan on possibly making a video for so others dont get frustrated:No matter HOW MANY times I tried to set this up using the ip/domain settings it would not take. I personally prefer that method for trouble shooting and control. No matter what ports I forwarded in the router and brain unit it just WOULD NOT work. I decided to try the QR scan method. That got me no where for 2 different days at about an hour each. I FINALLY figured out when scanning the QR the app was placing about 20 random invisible digits after the QR serial. Once I noticed that I removed those and entered the LOCAL password and it finally connected. Again you set up a random account when you install the app but thats all its for, its very suspicious honestly.Once the app was setup and connected though I got nothing but black screens on everything, all four cameras black. I then realized in the back I had connected the 4 cameras to slot 5-8 and not 1-4. Why this mattered to the unit is beyond me. Why the app just blacked out 5-8 even though it showed connected is strange. I placed the cameras on 1-4 and all of a sudden the app worked. On the actual unit all the cameras were viewing fine but the app is just really picky.Tech support is ONLY in China apparently but when emailing through amazon I did get some form of support back from someone who emailed back some image requests. Be SURE to blot out any personal IP info if you do send this tech support images.I next have to figure out how to utilize the record and playback plus setup an email account for image forwarding.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so the tips are !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!use LOCAL pass to login, NOT account pass!!!Make SURE cameras are in the port in order or it will NOT work!!!be SURE the app is not putting empty spaces after the QR serial when scanning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Fix the app and you have a VERY solid affordable camera systemUpdate - 5/31/19I had to get a replacement system as the one I had continuously locked up and rebooted. It would also not keep the correct time, and this was an issue since installation but I figured it was a glitch and just memorized the difference. Also on every lock up it would reset the time if I changed it.Anyway getting a replacement was easy but upon install I was again having trouble. I just couldnt get the thing to work with the app. Apparently theres a new app called ZosiSmart in the android store and though its the same DVR (I think anyway), I need to use the new app because the serials have changed. It gave me a little trouble and took a couple DVR reboots but it finally caught the signal and connected. Seems to work fine, thought the new app appears to catch and run a bit slower than the old. Either way, I have my camera system back up and running on my units and let me tell you, thank god I did this as it got me out of a couple jams in just the one year it was up. Im able to position the systems cameras to see all 3 houses and their parking, plus watch the street (which I already told the police in the area I have the system in case they ever need footage. I work very well with the department in my area and its very well reciprocated. If you own any rentals or a business its a really good idea to build a working relationship with whatever law enforcement covers your neighborhoods.I want to especially thank Emma from ZOSI, who helped me through the process via email.

Great product and great customer service
I am very happy with my purchase of the ZOSI 306PK system. The set up was very easy. Additionally, I had a couple of questions and customer service was very quick to respond. Specifically, Jessel, in customer service was quick and clear with her response. I highly recommend ZOSI and will likely buy additional cameras for my system.
