Good quality, easy to put together, cute! INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED!
I got this in the "Frustration Free" packaging. I see a lot of complaints about this option, but I loved it. I consider this a "big" gift. For gifts like this, I always assemble before the big day for 2 reasons. First, I want to make sure all parts are included. Second, all kids want to play with stuff like this right away. So having it ready to go is necessary.I've seen complaints that there are no instructions. I suppose this is possible. But it is also possible that people missed them in the box. You have to remove all items from the box first. You will find them taped to the inside bottom of the box, packaged with the cardboard inserts that serve as walls. Having said that, I included photos of the instructions in case someone does indeed receive a box without them.I easily assembled this myself in 35-45 minutes. Because the instructions lack color, I did refer to photos online to more quickly identify the pieces I was looking for. I only ran into one minor problem. I was attaching the second floor and did not have the back lined up properly on one side. The other side had snapped into place and was a bit difficult to undo. The cardboard "wall" actually popped out of place. But both things were easily remedied and I was back on track in no time.It doesn't seem as flimsy to me as others have said. Then again, my daughter is 7 and careful with her toys. But only time will tell. It is not strongest or heaviest of toys. And that is part of the reason I've rated this 4 stars. At the suggested retail price, you would expect more. I did get mine on sale and I wouldn't pay more than about 50 percent of the MSRP. The only other minor complaint is that the throne "elevator" could work a bit more easily. This comes with a LOT of cute accessories and they are very good quality. And, of course, you can't overlook getting a properly white Celestia and a cute little bow-tied Spike.

Recommend purchasing, price is AMAZING
My daughters LOVE this, they play with it all of the time. We have purchase many different castles/houses for the kids (Little People, Princess, Dora, ect) and I am most pleased with this one. It is a great size, much more depth than any other castle we have seen which allows the kids to actually play with it better and the 3 levels allows both girls to play with it at the same time.I don't care for the accessories that came with it, they are too small. The castle also comes apart quite easily but my kids are also pretty rough with it. The pieces snap back on it easily.Shipping was fast and it made a great Christmas gift. The price on Amazon was also fantastic, it was much more expensive everywhere else I looked. I would recommend purchasing this for any little girl.

It is a good size but possibly better for a little older aged ...
This was purchased for a 3yr old for Christmas. It did take about 30 minutes or more to put together after being opened and laid out. On the positive side, it is very cute and I would say worth the money paid. It is a good size but possibly better for a little older aged children who aren't so rough. There are MANY very small pieces. Also the cardboard decorative pieces come out easily when pushed on with toddler hands. Which means a lot of time putting them back in and as cardboard goes, they are beginning to break down which means soon they wont stay at all. Also The stairs and rails constantly fall off and come apart requiring mom or dad to have to put them back together many times a day.Lastly it was recommended to purchase the small 1-2" ponies with this castle and we have found that the larger 4" (?) ponies are more suitable and work well with the castle.

We absolutely love this castle
We absolutely love this castle! It's my 6 yr old daughter's favorite birthday present she got!! I was a little hesitant to buy it because of a few of the reviews. Saying there weren't any directions, it's hard to put together, flimsy and made of cardboard. Well just to clarify as long as you make sure you change the packaging option to the box it originally comes in then there are directions. At least there were for us! I had no problems putting it together. It was a great little project for my daughter and I. The only parts that are cardboard are the 4 backdrop pieces that go in the back of the castle. They snap in fine. I think for a children's castle it seems pretty sturdy and as long as it's taken care of it should last a long time! We have only had it a few days but so far it's holding up well and my daughter couldn't be happier with it!! I would definitely buy again! Sooo glad I didn't let the bad reviews turn me away! Great gift for any my little pony fans!!

Well....
Very pretty! I certainly liked it when I first built it for my toddler...note to parents, if your kid is rough with his/her toys, this is NOT for them. Within an hour, my daughter (2 years old who loves ponies) ripped off the stairs, took apart the cardboard background (which by the way is very easy to dent and come off), took apart the rails and the columns...It is very pretty, but not very sturdy. I even used a glue gun...took it apart. Used gorilla glue...no match for my destructo lol! She also got the newer castle for Christmas. It may not be as detailed but much sturdier.
