An excellent book
Totally enjoyed reading this week. The police procedural was perfect as it should be. Story line very good and believable and I’m sure a lot of people had a similar supervisor as despicable as the villain in this story. Only negative was I wasted a such lovely day reading this inside as I just couldn’t put it down. Well done Harry Giller.

Like reading the transcript of a documentary
This book had me hooked from the start. It is an intriguing story and written in the style of a documentary. The book cracks along at a good pace and held my interest throughout. The summary questions the motives of all those involved - which I thought was a neat touch as it also made me question my own thoughts and reactions as the story unfolded. Very clever and very enjoyable...

Enjoyable police procedural novel
I actually met the author on holiday and he provided some additional information about his own background as a police officer. I found it a thoroughly enjoyable read, although there were a couple of points where credibility was stretched, but that's true with most novels. The lasting question to me was just how important is it for the whole truth to be told, rather than protecting those at the top. When that question is asked regarding the police it really does give pause for thought!

Really Good Read!
I thought this was a well written book. It makes a change to read a crime novel that is based on the "real world"; all too often the method of investigation portrayed in novels bears no resemblance to what happens in a proper investigation. The author's police experience is apparent, the facts are presented clearly and in a manner that draws you in. It left me wanting to read moreI thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to Harry Giller's next one.

Gripping
A thoroughly good read and one I can relate to with several things in the book. Well written with a good theme along with the ongoing of the main characters. Looking forward to the 2nd book now. Thanks Manhatten Boy, you have to know eh Harry

A Great Read
Read this in two days. A crime novel with a different twist in the story line. Well structured and unspoilt by any over use of police jargon. A good story supported by natural dialogue between some realistic characters. It’s one of those novels were you say to yourself I’ll just read one more chapter and before you know it you’re half way through the book. Couldn’t put it down.

False Witness by Harry Giller
A very enjoyable and interesting read from this new author. Good plot line, nicely written, the author's knowledge of the British Police system was well evidenced! I shall look forward to Harry's next offering.

Hard to put down
Just finished reading this book. A great read for both those who have worked for or with police officers (you will recognise traits described in some you have worked with) and anyone who has no involvement with the law who will get a little insight into policing. One particular pleasing aspect, the dialogue between characters was well written and natural.
