I found out later that there is very little information on the life of St. Robert Bellamine. The book contained mostly letters that he had written which were difficult to decipher.

Short and sharp as a read. Perhaps not a great work of spirituality and not a great autobiography, but interetsing froma human point of view. The character of Robert Bellarmine does somehow make its presence felt, hence five rather than three stars.
