I still like the tea but adored the tiny figurines that were in the box. Bring them back!!!!

NOT RED ROSE TEA!
I have been drinking Red Rose tea for almost 55 years. I ordered this tea for the first time online due to COVID19 restrictions. The first time I tasted the ice tea that I had made, I knew there was something wrong. The tea tasted weak and "off." It is as if the box was 10 years old and stale. After thinking about it, I realized that the awesome tea smell wasn't there when I removed the clear cellophane wrapper from the box. There is no freshness or use by date on the box! Because I buy ahead, so I don't run out, I missed the return date. I don't recommend this product.

Not the same as sold in stores!
Beware this is NOT the same tea sold in the USA at stores..it is either bootlegged or Red Rose's second/mistakes..I ordered 2 boxes and only used it once to make some iced tea and very quickly realized it. Then looked at the box, exp. date 2401, ingredients: black tea, not orange pekoe the box was even wrong , sides were upside down..edited this because for some reason after giving it only a one star it posted as five star.

US version of Red Rose is a pale shadow of its previous self
Red Rose used to be my favorite tea in the supermarkets. Its availability was always iffy and it disappeared completely during the pandemic so it ordered it online. What I got was a very different, much weaker, much much less flavorful tea in the same packages, without the figurines.I found out that the brand was bought out by a bigger company which changed the US formulation, clearly to something cheaper. I don't know if the British version remains as it was but here I might as well get supermarket yellow box generic tea bags. I'm seeing if I can get British Red Rose shipped out here as this stuff is not worth it.

No Orange Pekoe
Disappointed, it tastes like ordinary black tea, not dry like Lipton Tea, more like a refreshing, smooth black tea. I was looking for a blend with orange pekoe black tea. It is misrepresented on Amazon, the ingredients list orange pekoe first on this site. What I received doesn't list orange pekoe at all, only black tea. Being only ordinary black tea it is over priced.

Nothing special. Decent, Drinkable, Affordable Black Tea.
I don’t understand the hype at all. I’ve been a huge tea drinker since quitting the coffee for digestive reasons. I love a good quality cup of black tea in the morning and a couple throughout the day. I’ve seen tons of reviews saying that Red Rose is the best inexpensive black tea hands down. I just don’t get it. It’s definitely not bad but it’s also definitely not anything different or special. It’s slightly less tannic than Lipton but not really better as far as flavor is concerned. Not a ton of depth, etc. don’t get me wrong, it’s pleasant and very drinkable and very affordable. It’s just not different or special. I will definitely be drinking and enjoying it but I wouldn’t go out of my way to order it again since my grocery store doesn’t carry it. It’s definitely on par with Lipton. If you want a really nice quality bold black tea that’s readily available Twinings English Breakfast or Irish Breakfast blends are much bolder, higher quality and have a lot more depth. They are a bit more pricey but not prohibitively so. Again, decent drinkable standard tea but I don’t understand the hype.

Best Tea in The Whole Wide World!!
RED ROSE!! The world’s best tea. If you try a box of this tea, you will never look back but will always keep an eye out for the brand —evermore!! I have used Red Rose for many years. Sometimes I cannot find it. This tea came two packages with each bag separately encased in sleeves with tags. It is high quality delightful, full bodied tea. I hope you will try it for yourself and guests. I have tea with my daughters when they visit and Red Rose has always been our go-to brand. It is a wonderful tradition. If you try it, you will never look back!! Order and Enjoy!

Best Premium Commercially Available Black Tea on the US Market as far as I am concerned!
This is my favorite over the counter brand of black tea, that I can purchase easily in the USA! It is also listed on some Internet blogs about commercially available teas as being one of the only brands that doesn't test positive for contaminants and insecticide residues or other yucky chemicals that nearly all of the other major brands have been found to contain! I enjoy the flavor of this Red Rose Original Premium Blended Tea over virtually all of the other brands I have tried. I drink it daily, and as I am not a coffee drinker, it is my number one hot beverage of choice.
