I honestly do not know, HOWEVER, it is way too well made to have been made in China. I am very impressed with the product, Sturdy and well constructed. Used with care it should last well past my lifetime.

It does have a lock and key that would be just like what would be on a briefcase. It might slow someone down but it’s not going to stop them. If you’re worried about security there’s nothing to stop them from just taking the case with them. I enjoy the case because I don’t worry about Security I put my coins in the case and don’t worry babe I messing with them because I use them at the house I currently have 7 of them because they are great cases to hold graded coins.
