I'm long time user of Dewalt line (over 15 years), i work in construction, tools abuse for sure yes, but this Hammer drill was brand new ( i says was because i end up returning Dcd 997 to Amazon)Biggest disappointment: Tool Connect innovation !!!Every day in morning when i want to use this drill ... dosen't work !!!I have open Tool Connect app, wait to find drill (if I'm lucky and app find them because even this is hit or miss) start using drill, two hours later this same story, drill not working, i have again open app (this time don't matter if app find drill or not i have open app) drill working three hours later same story and all day long battle with app vs. drill.With my frustration i call Dewalt with this problem, guess what: " im sorry sir for problem you have, somebody will contact with you, goodbye " then nothing's happen.Nobody from Dewalt doesn't even bother to worry on end user, no communication at all.Im happy Dewalt looking for some innovation on tool department, but c'mon guys over 300$ for piece of useless tool.You don't care on end user ???Competition don't sleep.I want use tool not fight with them !!!I don't planning investing my hard making money on piece on innovation if this is obviously not working.DeWalt you disappointing me !!!

Dewalts 20v Brushless drills have the most torque I have experienced. I use this drill everyday doing installations of AV equipment and security.The bluetooth feature is nice the implementation and app certainly could use some work and further developement. It does work but becareful that your battery on your phone doesnt die if you have it required to operate the tool.

While not really sellers problem, one of 2 batteries was dead and would not take a charge, also noticed warranty codes were from 2017. Will have to send back or get replacement battery.

Works great easily drills into concrete, wood, metal basically anything, it did come with a completely dead battery though that wouldn't even charge in the charger, to fix this i simply charged the battery that worked in the charger fully then ran 2 short 14 gauge wires from the charged battery to the dead battery, on the contacts that connect the battery to the drill/ charger you'll see B+ and B- on both batteries, simply run a wire between both B- terminals first then connect b+ to the charged battery and run a wire to the b+ terminal on the dead battery, you'll see a small spark when you first connect it, keep the wires connected to the dead battery for at least 10-15 seconds, after you do this it should charge no problem, if it doesn't work the first time try it again but leave it connected for 20 seconds longer and you'll be golden, hope this helps someone with the same issue I had

I charged the battery 1, work fine, the second battery do not charge at all.

It's my first drill and I've only had it about a week. but the first time I used it (I've used other, cheaper, drills before) I was blown away. You can tell this is a quality product, from the fit and finish to the nuts and bolts. I love that it's really sensitive to light pressure, so I can vary the speed of the drill depending on how hard I pull the trigger. I used it many times and the battery is still going strong off of it's first charge.
