Liftmaster 365LM Plug-In Security Plus Radio Receiver 315Mhz

If you already have an extra outlet above your garage door opener, this is super easy to install. It comes with a ton of wire, so you really could have this thing extremely far away. You could also wire this to the button on the wall for most older openers. I wired it up on the unit itself (look at the picture). You DO need wire strippers (or be good with scissors) and a screwdriver. The antenna is a bit short, so I stripped some of the wire it came with and twisted it on the end of the antenna. This is optional but it made it so my remote worked a bit farther away. You DO need a Liftmaster remote to program a universal remote. I have one of those Universal remotes that does not work with my ancient Wayne Dalton garage door opener. Would definitely recommend.

La idea es buena, la calidad de construcción bien, el rango del receptor es horrible, pésimo, una porquería, en verdad no recomiendo comprar éste producto, puse el receptor en alto, al aire libre (bajo una cubierta antilluvia) ,con un cable de extensión de la antena de 2 metros hacia la calle y ni así recibe la señal a más de 5 metros, en verdad no cumple su función, no tiene recepción, casi hay que pararse a 2 metros de la porquería para que reciba la señal ... No lo compren, no sirve para lo que debería hacer

Bought a house with a liftmaster garage unit original from 1994 which still operates strong. Only problem was it's on 390 MHz and the receiver was broken. I hooked this up and at first had NO luck programming remotes to it. Found out that it will ONLY work with liftmaster/Chamberlain openers. Wish they were more clear about this. After successfully programming the new remote I noticed the range was terrible... So I cut the antenna off the old receiver and attached it to this one which helped. Still not impressed though with the range. I would NOT of been bothered by paying a few extra bucks if it included a better antenna set up...

Not sure if its the separately purchased openers in the car but we have to fairly close to open the garage with visor it is clipped to down.

The device gets the job done. I have two Liftmaster openers, one of which intermittently does not respond to the remote. I tried increasing the size of the antenna, but it still works less often than it fails. The choice was a 365LM (this) or replacing the receiver board in the opener (with something like  LiftMaster Garage Door Opener 41AC050-2M Receiver Logic Board ).
