I have very dry skin and have been using this for many years, it is the only thing that has worked for me. I haven’t noticed the smell but my sense of smell isn’t great. It was recommended by my dermatologist. Once when I out of town, I forgot it and the itching was terrible until I found a pharmacy that carried it. The amazing thing is that it works so quickly after I apply it. I recently so a side by side comparison between ammonium Lactate and CeraVe, the scores were 10/10 and 3/10.

Excellent skin moisturizer

I have always suffered from ingrowns and irritation on my legs due to shaving, this is the ONLY product that has made a difference. Its incredibly moisturizing and has helped calm the redness. its fragrance free which i love, but does have a slight metallic scent because of the active ingredients. I don't love the way it smells, but im glad they didnt try to cover it up with added fragrance because I tend to get irritation from scented products. The only thing I wish was different was the cap, I wish it came with a pump instead of just a squeeze bottle, I actually ended up twisting on a lotion pump from a different bottle and that has been working much better for me, its easier to get the product out.
