Q: Will the 22oz container hold a pound of peanut brittle?

It should, however you will have to break it into pieces small enough to fill the container and not leave a lot of air spaces between the pieces.

Q: Will the lid prevent ants from getting inside the container?

I would think so... there is rubber on the inside of the lid so the seal is pretty tight

Q: Are the kids safe for use with liquids like soups? Or will the bamboo fail from extended exposure to moisture?

I would think lids would fail with using liquids. Does not feel the lid would hold up to liquids.
