Fun & Easy Cookbook
This is a great cookbook for beginners. I would say you would probably need a food processor, air fryer, microwave, and slow cooker to do everything offered.I really enjoyed the helpful kitchen tips, the conversion charts, and the list of pantry staples.I would say most of the recipes are low prep and everything is presented in a straightforward manner.Definitely going to be trying a few of these recipes especially the overnight breakfast oats, the peanut noodles and the pizza boats.

Too much going on when there's too much going on.
I was excited to get this book, as I'm in a period of burnout and thought it would be a great source of simple recipes for when I don't want to put a lot of thought or effort into cooking. This is recipes with a long list of ingredients and a handful of shortcuts. Imagine this: Your friend says to you "I'm exhausted, I don't want to cook." You say to them "I know just the thing! A chilled peanut noodle salad! You just need to make a 10-ingredient peanut sauce and use it to top a five-ingredient salad for which you just have to boil noodles, shred chicken, and chop three vegetables and some peanuts!" Geez, thanks, I'll get RIGHT on that. There are quite a few recipes of that sort. I don't know how you would think that anybody who doesn't want to cook wants to prep (the author is very insistent on mise en place, which in my experience not only does not save time but dirties far more than chopping as you go) and then prepare a recipe with eight or ten ingredients. And sometimes this gets ridiculous--one of the "effortless sweet treats" is watermelon with four other things stacked on top! I understand you can't just put "eat cut watermelon" in your cookbook, but surely "cut up a watermelon, slice strawberries, then spread the watermelon with whipped cream and top with three other things" is indeed an unusual amount of effort in comparison. There *are* some simple recipes indeed, like the avocado toast (which still manages to have six ingredients and wants you to peel and slice the avocado before mashing it, instead of just scooping it out and smashing it), or the microwave omelet, but they are far outnumbered by needlessly complicated recipes, like the tuna melts that want you to chop pickles instead of just using pickle relish. (Which, by the way, is the more expensive option as well as the more labor-intensive one.)This is a pretty good basic cookbook if you've got plenty of mental energy and physical ability and a large grocery budget, but it does not succeed at its stated mission, and I really question whether the author knows a single person with limitations of any sort. Her "shortcuts" are things like "thinly slice your onions instead of dicing them" and "buy organic carrots so you don't have to peel them", which reminded me that I've never peeled a (conventionally grown) carrot in my life. This is some Instagram Mom stuff.

Messy bun mom's mealtime solutions
We all have to eat.Eating out is expensive.Cooking requires a lot of work. This cookbook can help. The introduction provides helpful tips to overcome some typical cooking road blocks. The recipes cover main dishes, sides, soups, and sweets. They are simple, basic, and sometimes creative. Most require minimal effort. There are even shopping lists in the indexes. Detailed enough to follow, but no frills found in other books or blogs.

This was book was written for me- a busy, uninspired in the kitchen mom!
I opened this book and after reading all of the recipes, I felt like the book was written for me! Delicious, easy, healthy recipes for a busy mom who doesn’t love being in the kitchen but needs some inspiration- THAT’S what this book is all about- and it’s awesome! Plus, THERE'S A SHOPPING LISTS, as well as a list for pantry staples. That makes it so much easier to organize meals and shopping! Hallelujah!I also appreciate the food is not just American dishes. It's important for our family to have exposure to all kinds of foods. So far may kids have loved the Korean Beef and Rice Bowls w/cucumber and kimchi and the Easiest Teriyaki Chicken with snap peas. SO good!!I am so grateful for these recipes and look forward to getting out of a family meal rut!I love it so much, I bought it for a few friends for birthdays! Spreading the joy!

So easy!
Some of these recipes might seem like no-brainers, but I have no brain when it comes to cooking, so this book is perfect for me. It gives you simple ideas you can riff on. Many of the recipes also have crossover ingredients so you can actually cook for yourself for the week without spending $300 on obscure groceries. I also love that it shares nutritional info for each recipe!

Too many unknown ingredients for me
I'm not much of a cook - hence buying this book. Some recipes want a pressure cooker, an air fryer and even to make a slow cooker meal before you go out. I didn't recognise quite a lot of the ingredients. If you don't know what "Kosher Salt" is - and I don't - You'll be in trouble as almost every recipe uses it. In fairness I must say that I've never been a great cook and use every day ingredients for my casseroles, roasts etc. The book is useless to me and I'm returning it.
