Hit with the old man.
Dad freaked when I got him this. My brother is a snoot and told me it would be cheap since my dad has some German chef's knives. But when he saw it, impressed. He declared hands off immediately. We did tweak it a bit. He added a mini weight the handle to balance in the hand better better and dulled the corner blade just a wee bit for safety. So good, now my brother wants one 😂

A User knife
Comes in a nice box that states proudly made in China. Quality control was poor on this knife, the brass ring is not flush with the handle. Required file work and blade was dull but sharpened nicely

A big disappointment.
I was looking for a budget-friendly, wood-handled Nakiri knife. Simple enough, right? Not so fast. A Nakiri knife is for chopping vegetables and root vegetables. The wood handle felt good, even if the metal spacer in between the bolster and the handle was not ground flush with the rest of the handle. This Nakiri was advertised as .48 lbs. It came in at 7.6 oz. which sounds right, even a bit light, but the edge geometry of this blade is ALL WRONG! It's grind is shaped more like a meat cleaver, than a Nakiri knife. It is front blade heavy, with it's balance point all the way up to the "TO" in KITORY. I had such high hopes for this knife to add into my collection. Sadly, I was left disappointed, and I returned it. If you want a front heavy, wedgy Nakiri that acts more like a meat cleaver, you should think about this model. If you are looking for a lighter, thinner blade with a more exact cutting profile in a Nakiri-style knife, pass this one up and think about investing in a Kai Wasabi Nakiri or other model. Most Japanese Nakiri knives are somewhat pricey now. Some are over $100, and because of supply chain issues, it may not be in stock for quite a while.

Great knife but lacks customer service…
Got this knife and loved it. Wrote in asking if I can get a sheath. That was months ago. If you don’t want my money that’s fine but have the damn decency to acknowledge me.

SWEET BABY JESUS IN A CARSEAT!
This thing is a "c-hair" this side of being a battle axe. It is huge and heavy. I can't wait to split some bones for marrow and bone broth.

Comfortable and sharp
I just got the knife, amd it came really sharp. It easily slices paper in to nice thin strips. The blade was a bit dirty, but what ever you should clean any knife when you first get it. The knife blade seems to he made out of high carbon steel as claimed as is had a nice high pitched ring too it. I'm a little saddened that the knife was made in china but what ever. I don't know how well the blade holds its edge yet. But of the blade is made of high carbon steel it should hold its edge.

Ok. Not great
Will rust if you dont keep it oiled. Not stainless steel

It’s OK
Doesn’t have the best feel and is a bit clunky, but It’s about what you’d expect from an inexpensive knife.

Handle finish not the greatest
Brass on handle stuck out a bit from wood causing sharp edges for skin
