Good camera
I bought this because of the reviews on a forum.I kept it because it works well with Blueiris and fills a gap in coverage.I’m looking for a better camera. This isn’t bad mind you, but…I’m looking for better.

Think Twice Before Buying this Gray Market Camera
I've had 5 other Hikvision cameras for many years. After trying the competing Dahua 4k DH-IPC-HDW5849H-ASE-LED which is similar to this except without a built in speaker, I thought I'd give this camera a try for a comparison after the seller, RICHSECU, stated that this camera will take firmware upgrades from Hikvision's web site.Note that Hikvision has hard coded it in their cameras so that you can only use the firmware that's published on their web site to update cameras purchased from a few select "authorized resellers". If you haven't purchased your camera from one of these authorized resellers, your only hope to obtain a firmware upgrade is to contact the company that sold you the camera.Being able to update the firmware is important not only to maintain browser support, but security issues as well. Many have realized that as browsers have been updated, they will experience a myriad of issues such being unable to view the video, unable to configure their cameras, and unable to access the camera's configuration pages altogether. One of the benefits of this camera is that it has Acusense where when enabled, it notifies and records only when there is a vehicle or human detected. For Smart Event > Intrusion Detection, this worked correctly. The camera would only notify the app and record when on object appeared in the defined intrusion area. For Basic Event > Motion Detection, the camera would only notify when there was a vehicle or human in the defined area, however it would STILL record on any motion - trees swaying, leaves blowing, clouds moving, etc, consuming valuable SD card space.Edit 8/2023. Hikvision has corrected this issue in their newer G2 firmware. For basic motion detection, you can set the sensitivity level to 0, and leave Human / Vehicle selected. Motion detection recording will still trigger and record on Human / Vehicle, but not on any motion. There is no way to adjust the human / vehicle accuracy level in this mode howeverI brought this to the seller's attention, and they sent me a newer firmware release. The issue was not corrected in the newer firmware release, and the newer firmware added a new bug where the camera would stop recording altogether for once or twice a day for 5 hours at a time during a random time interval. I decided to try to revert back to the firmware posted on Hikvision's web site multiple times, only to be presented with the infamous "Failed to get the upgrade status" error message. This is the message that Hikvision cameras show if you attempt to upload the firmware from their web site to a "gray market" camera.I had spent quite some time putting together screenshots of the issue and carefully explaining it. After several days communicating with the seller, they replied with a message where they were completely lost regarding the issue (see attached screenshot). So, be wary of sellers that have no understanding of what they're selling.

Best you can get at 8MP club
Amazing outdoor night performance though you would need navigable moonlight to support. Montion could be blur but shouldn't be an issue if adding proper automation to turn on the whitelight or having extra floodlight by yourself. The IVS is fantastic and does not slow down the camera when multiple rules got triggered. HIK is still the leading vendor. This item has Hikvision logo so it's the original version. Fast shipping.
