edit- Car left customer drove car around for 2 days came back with intentions of borrowing oem module from another car to program and initialize. Before I entered car unlocked door noticed all angel lights illuminated, turn signals blinked twice and side amber lights illuminated on both sides. Entered car no warning lights all seems to function as normal. Didn’t check or verify adaptive function but at this time no check control messages (all customers concerned with concerning adaptive function). Updated to 5 stars from 3 just because. Proceed with caution.Left headlight had moisture, used compressed air to clean headlight. Upon reinstalling, faults for daytime running lights. Switched modules from passenger to driver faults followed. Attempted to clean oem original driver module with contact cleaner. Made problem worse as now turn signal malfunction. Ordered this part, at first everything lit up, angel eyes turn signals etc. Programmed frm, programmed ok. Afterwards, fault for headlight teach in/initialization. Attempt to initialize headlights and no communication with driver module, prompted me to replace frm. At this time only the xenon lights up no turn signals angles eyes etc. on both headlights. Programmed frm again, now only the turn signals and xenon are working in driver side, no angel eyes, everything back to normal on passenger. Will have to attemp to find another car with oem module so I can initialize headlights. At this time I have gathered it’s not compatible with adaptive function. Even looking at the motherboard and comparing the two, there are a lot of circuits not present on this model. At this time the only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because at the very least the turn signals are functioning again which was a major safety concern. And btw there are no check control messages on the idrive almost like this thing is bypassing something.-Bmw tech trying part for customer.

Say’s it replaces my part #, but it won’t initialize even with ista. The instructions from seller are confusing also.
