I work from home and the pc's only take ethernet internet and my home broadband went down. Took days before an engineer even came out. This device legit saved me hundreds in possible lost income as i was able to use my phone hotspot and use this device to convert it to an ethernet connection.

I wanted a WiFi->LAN bridge for my Youview Box which is Ethernet only and the powerline adapters are bulky and use 2 power sockets and two Ethernet cables. I used the USB socket on the YouView box to power this device. It delivers ~ 60MBits/s which is less than full speed (80) on my network.It took me longer than it should have to set it up, the instructions are printed small and a little cryptic, for at least.If you want a simple bridge like this then: Change operating mode to bridge (default is Router) and reboot... enter your existing WiFi details, turn OFF the hotspot (otherwise it will rebroadcast another WiFi network from your existing one - unless you need extra coverage for other devices further away but with a new network name and credentials) and turn DHCP Server ON (the default is OFF). Reboot device and unplug it. This setup will your existing WiFi via your Ethernet port. I could not log into the device (with it's new LAN address) after this step other than by resetting the device (button on side) to factory and restarting the process.An elegant solution but a little work, at least the first time you do it. I've now bought two of these.

If you have a device that only has an Ethernet port but you need a Wi-Fi connection then this device is a marvel. It's fairly easy to configure, 'just plain works' and has the benefit of being a Wi-Fi repeater too, automatically extending the signal. (The repeater function can be turned off if you don't want it).

We're using this to get a network connection to a blu ray player that has no built in WiFi receiver. The instructions aren't in the clearest English, but the setup process isn't too difficult. Where we're using it, there is very good air circulation, but it still gets quite warm, so I would be wary of using this if it was in an enclosed space or surrounded by other equipment.

I have stated the question clearly. I get the same answer form the supplier. Looks like I have been taken for a ride. The technology is good but not the product.

10/10 - Really easy to setup and works perfect for the intended purpose!LAN > Wi-Fi Hotspot = Works great!Have an exterior building (summer house) at the bottom of my garden and the Wi-Fi from the front of the house does not reach. Using Ethernet Power-line adapters to the building, with a network switch, I've connected this device to the network switch to emit a Wi-Fi hotspot.Only configuration needed was to set a custom SSID+Password as the device was already in Router-mode.Configured using Windows 10 as well (since I saw a few people reporting issues with W10, I have encountered no issues).
