Amazing system for. Organisation of my vast collection of tools well made

I love the smell of wood, when you open up the lid!I am quite happy with it and it holds a lot of my tools (which are all American, by the way), and is very useful.

As pointed out in other reviews, this organizer is designed for a specific set of tools. I even went so far as to seek out and buy most of the tools for which it was designed, thinking they would make a good set for carrying to a work location, and tried using it as a set a few times. What a waste of money! The problems: (1) This is not an adequate universal set of tools; (2) the organizer is very specialized to this particular tool set; (3) The organizer wastes a lot of space.I had some limited success fitting other tools in, by enlarging some of the holes, but finally pulled out the wooden organizer and used the box alone. I wish I had just ordered the plain systainer.Note: I have a bunch of systainers (more than a dozen), some just general purpose containers and some that came with power tools in them. I like the system for its versatility and stack-ability, despite the high price.Lesson learned: Maybe you, like I, have seen some of the photos of beautiful tool boxes, each tool with a fitted holder, all neatly organized, and lusted for such a place to store your tools. It is unreal. Anyone who works with tools has a continually evolving (and generally growing) set, in which even the set of most-used favorite tools tend to evolve over time. The idea of a neatly fitted place holder for each tool is inconsistent with that reality.

Shame Festool stuff is so over priced. This is a very handy device but limits itself as some chisel/screwdriver handles can be slightly long and prevent the lid from connecting properly. While the T Loc is good, I've lost count the amount of times it came off.I have a batch of Makita Macpac systainers and it attaches very securely to these - only at the top of the stack. Be lost without it - no van for transpoting tools so everythig has to be secure for loading into a car.
