beautiful ending
Beautiful ending to the series. I sobbed like a baby. This definitely has given me a major book hangover and now I need some wine and another cry.

Good Series
I ended up really liking this series. Lark was a fantastic heroine, and there were a crazy amount of twists and turns. I think this is a series you need to go back and re-read so you can catch all the bread crumbs you missed the first time as peoples motives are constantly turned on their heads. The one thing I think that wasn't executed as well as the Rylee series is Lark and Ash. I think she set them up perfectly at the start, and then he basically disappears in the series until the last few pages in this book (in terms of them being together). It wasn't enough for me. Peta kept telling Lark that Ash was the one for her, but the only thing he did for her really was survive until he didn't. He was a liability to be honest. And any sort of HEA was pushed to a few lines at the end where it is up to the reader to think for themselves how that will go (assuming Mayer doesn't continue on with them, which it does not appear that is happening). So while I love the main story, the plot, the world building, the twists and turns, Lark, Peta and even Bella, I didn't love the pushed aside (forgotten until it was convenient) romance, and I didn't like how casually rape and incest is breezed over here (even if some of the twists make some of that less creepy later on). I mean, after reading Ash's book, what was the point in tricking him into thinking he was sleeping with Lark? Hadn't he been raped enough at that point? It brought nothing to the story except to add more trauma to him.Anyway, I'd still recommend fans of Shannon's Rylee series to read this book. Other than the romance side of things, there is a similar pattern that if you loved Rylee's attitude and overcoming all the many obstacles thrown in her way, then you'll love Lark and this series, too.

Wonderful way to end the series
This was a very suspenseful and nail biting journey from beginning to the end. I cried for some of the characters and I laugh with them. And I even yelled at them a lot of times even though they couldn't hear me.Great series in all the books.

WOW
That had a plot twist so intense I hated that the book had to end. Again Shannon has done an awesome job! I love how the series all connect making it the best series ever. Rylee, Lark, Pamela and Zam all connected, all together to help save the world! Head over to shannomayer.com to get the reading order...

A great ending!
Yes, even us Christians can read a fictional book and find it a great story. Life, death, and the soul living on is our philosophy. I did not read the whole elemental series because i needed this one to end the Rylee series for me. The only part i did not like was referring to our real POTUS TRUMP as happened throughout this series as a bad president. It was well worth the four stars.

Stunning end to series
Shannon Mayer never ever fails to astonish and amaze - this book took me in directions I was so not expecting. If you want a book and a series to keep you on your toes then this is it - but let me warn you, have an entire box of tissues at the ready!! To say it was emotional would be an understatement, and from an author who frequently makes me blub, this book beat the lot.Lark has to test the boundaries of friend and foe to the very limit and not everything is as it seems. Picking up from the Rylee epilogue, Alex, we briefly see old friends but then Lark and Peta are very much on their own, with only their wits and bravery to survive. I'm not going to give anything away at all as far as the plot goes because if you've made it this far you're going to love it, and if you haven't then get reading quick! I will say that the ending totally shocked me (I most certainly didn't see it coming) and made me an emotional mess. It also made me think quite a lot about the world in which we live, and the mess that we humans are making of the planet. Some food for thought whether you're an environmentalist or not.Stunning book, I can't recommend it enough.

I have all the feels.
This is my review for the whole series: I loved it. No Me Mayer, I'm not talking to you any more. I don't mean it, please write more book. I can't say why it's only 4 stars, without dropping some fairly major spoilers, so I'll just say, if you like action and intrigue with a splash (or gallon) of magic, then this series is really worth the time.

Outstanding! Bravo!
What a tremendous end to a wonderful, heart wrenching story! Shannon Mayer has created a masterpiece. Everything over 2 series has been brought together in one GRAND finale. I experienced so many emotions reading this book. The end was as it should be, leaving me overwhelmed with sadness and a spark of hope. I am looking forward to reading Shannon' s next adventure! Thank you!
