TevaMen's Mush II Flip-Flop

I'm going to start this review by clarifying that I have a lean, narrow foot. I have a C toe and a B heel. So this review is biased towards a narrow foot. That being said, I have tried about twenty different sandals to find a couple that fit reasonably snug. So for comparison purposes this may be a useful guide for people. My preferences are light weight, comfortable, with a heel strike that has some padding. I also like moderate arch support. I don't want a lot of flop in my flip. I don't want a negative heel. I'm going to list the sandals I've tried, and give a brief comparison, which should be helpful to everyone. I'll start with this one:Teva Mush ll - (9) These are by far the lightest of the bunch, weighing in at a mere 92g each. They're also comfortable with a fairly narrow footbed and a snug thong. So, yes, I love these. And at $25 they are a bargain, even though they won't last as long as some of the more expensive sandals here. The middle of the heel-strike is a little harder than the surrounding area and some people have complained about it, but I haven't been bothered by it in the short periods of time I've spent in them.Reef Mens Leather Fanning ll - (9 Mens) These are the heaviest of all the sandals I've tried, weighing in at 219 grams each. The footbed is comfortable but more firm than some of the others. Nice looking. They have an average fit, (fairly snug), but they were a little lose on me. I think these would last a long time. Unlike with the Reef Draftsman, I did not feel the bottle opener under my arch. Comfortable, but expensive and heavy.Reef Leather Slap ll - (Mens 9) Oddly, this sandal was a full size shorter than any other Reefs I tried, (A full 1/2 inch), so order up. They weighed in at 205 grams each, making them the second heaviest in this comparison. Had they been the same size as the Fanning ll's they would have been the heaviest. Average fit. These are one of the most comfortable sandals in this line-up. Very cushy heel.Reef Phantom LE - (Mens 9) This leather sandal is much lighter, weighing in at 142g. Somewhat more snug fitting than average. Very comfortable and attractive. Reasonably priced. This pair was a keeper for me.Reef Phantom Prints - (9) Weighing in at 113g, these were the second lightest sandal of the bunch. Snug fitting and comfortable, these are my personal favorites. Reasonably soft heel-strike with an average width footbed and just the right amount of arch support. They won't likely last as long as some of the heavier sandals, but they can be had for half the cost. I've seen them for $20 on up, depending on color and size.Reef Phantoms - (Mens 10) These synthetic sandals seem to be made elsewhere from the other two Phantoms listed above. The fit is much different. They are wider in the footbed and sloppy fitting. These are made for a wide foot. Again, they are fairly light, weighing in at 134g, and I got these a full size up from the other two because everyone said they ran small. I think they run just a half size smaller.Reef Draftsman - (9) This is a leather sandal with no additional heel support. It also has a bottle opener on the bottom. Nice looking, fairly snug fitting, and fairly light, (About 156g) but this sandal has an issue. As others have indicated, you can feel the bottle opener under your arch. I don't think anyone would be comfortable in these for long. I sent these back.Reef Crew - (9) This leather sandal is fairly light at 138g each. They have a slender footbed and a somewhat snug fit. I like that, however, there is no additional heel support and they run as high as $60.Reef Twinpin - (9) These basic synthetic leather sandals are fairly light at 137g each, and they have a slender footbed, but the thong is very lose and has no additional heel-strike.Sanuk Fraid So - (10) These sandals weighed in at a modest 139g each and were really comfortable and attractive. I loved this sandal. Unfortunately, they have a very wide footbed and a very lose fitting thong. Yep, fraid so. But if you have fat feet, you'll love these.Sanuk M Fraid - (9) These leather/poly sandals weighed in at 175g each, making them one of the heavier sandals here. They have a slender footbed, (A full half inch thinner than the Fraid So), but with a sloppy thong.Sanuk Beer Cozy - (9) This fabric sandal has a wide footbed and a sloppy thong, but weighed in at a respectable 134g each. These have a very cushy, comfortable footbed. People rave about how comfortable they are. But you need to have fat or wide feet. Dang!Teva Men's Classic - (9) This is a very basic, uninspired sandal with a ruff, heavily textured, old school footbed. Perfect for some people, but I found them uncomfortable. It's light, but not as light as the Mush ll's. The thong was more loose than the Mush ll and it runs a little more money.Teva Mush ll (Canvas) (9) I listed these as well because the canvas thong fits more loosely than the regular Mush ll's and weighed a little more. Other than that they have the same footbed.

Basic comfortable flip-flops that last a long time and at a great price. This is my second pair of Teva flip flops just like this. My other pair lasted me about 5 years. For $20 you cant beat that. These ones I've had now for about 2 years and they're the same quality. Basic comfortable flip-flops that last a long time and a great price. I love my Tevas.

I have bought many of these exact shoe through the year and wear them out each time. Best flip flop you can find. You have to break them in but once that is done they are the most comfortable flip flop I've ever owned. if I can give them 6 stars I would.

These are comfortable from day one unlike my last flip flops which took about a week to break in. They are very slippery (foot to shoe) when wet and my feet tend to slide in them. Sole (shoe to ground) seems pretty durable. Seem like a bargain.

I absolutely love these sandals/flip-flops. This is my third pair and I will not buy anything else. They are comfortable, easy to get into and just an all-around great product. I haven’t found another flip-flop that compares and I’ve shopped around for a bit. You won’t be disappointed by these. I promise.

These sandals are incredible. Comfy, and fit nice and snug, your foot doesn’t shift around when you walk. Also superior to reef and vionic. There’s also minimal flopping when you walk. Teva is the absolutely the best flip flop. And I got the ones with the cool triangle straps, not the black. Super Beach and tropical. Get lots of people admiring them. There are super soft and comfy for all day wear. I’m in clearwater Florida so I live in these things. 5 star. They were also rated second best walking sandal when I researched all over the web. True to size , I wear a 12 and ordered a 12. Fit and feel amazing. Buy these flip flops and the design on the strap is super cool and super tribal and awesome. Love these sandals at any price. Very affordable as well. I tried a dozen different kinds , by far the best fitting and looking. Teva is a great company. Very happy. Will only buy Teva in the future! Buy them now.

I bought these because I had a pair of Teva flip-flops that I loved which lasted me for many years. Unfortunately, I did not like this pair nearly as much. On the positive side, they're very comfortable and fit well. However, they are made out of a different material than my previous pair were. I don't know why, but these seem to attract dust and cat hair like a super magnet. After wearing them in the house for just a few hours, it seems that every piece of loose cat hair and dust I had in the house is now stuck to them. It's gross, feels funny, and is ugly. :(

Had these for years, through lots of activities including fishing, small construction projects, and every-day use. Love them

After I bought my first pair of Teva Mush flip-flops IIRC ~2016, these became my one-and-only go-to flip flop. I have since purchased and worn through ~20 pairs. They are not indestructible, but for all the positives, I wear these almost 100% of the time through the ~5 months of suitable weather where I live.* Comfort:I find these more comfortable than any footwear I've ever worn for long distance walking. I have walked in excess of 50,000 steps in a single day wearing these, and outside of ankle discomfort which I imagine would occur regardless of what's under the foot, I am ready for the next day of walking. Anything else I have ever worn under a similar load would produce painful blisters.* Break-in:While you can wear these comfortably from day one, there *is* a break-in period as the foam molds to your foot. The fit out of the box may be a bit tight, but will loosen up as the foot gradually sinks into the molding foam. Between ~5–15k steps, I have found that they squeak, however this quickly disappears as they break in further.* Flip-Flopping:Related to break-in. I have found that, while they produce the typical smacking pattern associated with this type of footwear, as the foam molds this gradually disappears. These are the least flip-floppy flip-flops I have ever flopped, which happens to be one of the reasons these flip-flops represent the current pinnacle of flip-flop technology.* Sizing:Take heed of the EU/US sizing points. Once you have narrowed in on a size, aim to hit something close to what you typically wear. I am usually somewhere around a 45/11. I have purchased and comfortably worn size 12s which when I first purchased a pair I believed was the better size because of how they fit from day one. However, don't be fooled by where your heel sits on a fresh pair. A fresh size 11 seems too small out of the box, however, once broken in, is clearly the correct size vs a 12 for me.* Longevity:These are foam flip-flops. This has many advantages, but unfortunately longevity isn't one. However, I think the trade-off is well worth it. YMMV (likely will), however I go through ~2–3 pairs per year, though I likely walk more than most. By my best estimates, I get ~1.3M steps out of a pair. How you walk will likely influence this a lot, and I could imagine someone getting 2–3x the lifespan.* Failure Modes:Related to longevity, and likely very personal. I suspect I heel strike more than the average person for example. The death of a pair will come from one of two things for me: Either the strap will break or string out in the front, in my case always on the left side, or the foam will chew through until my heel is hitting bare ground, always on the right side. As the strap slowly severs, it gets thin to the point that I have managed to lacerate the area between my toes. I have learned to retire a pair to keep around for light walking inside once the strap or soles thin. Lacerating your skin, or getting glass in your heel, both of which I have experienced, is not worth it.Final point:If you have never owned a pair of these flip-flops, you should try them. These are, for me, the best flip-flops humankind has yet produced.

Teva es una marca confiable. Perfectas para estar cómodos en cualquier momento. Buenos materiales, se sienten agradables al tacto del pie.Solo como detalle hace tiempo compre el mismo modelo y numero me quedo más amplio ahora fue distinto me quedaron ligeramente más cortas. Pero sin duda fue una buena compra.Para los amantes de la marca que sepan que llegan sin caja, por si alguna llegará a esperar una presentación en su respectiva caja.
