I got this set in gold, in anticipation of using at least one of them to soak my clarinet reed. I came back about five minutes later, only to find the tin sitting in a puddle of water that leaked from its bottom edge. If these containers let water out, they'll let air in through those same gaps. So, warning: don't put any liquids in them!The tin can boxes should store items that will be quickly used up or don't spoil or get stale. Anything that is planned to last for more than a few weeks should be stored in something else.The "gold" paint looks a lot like "copper" to my eyes. The lids needed to be firmly twisted before they became loose enough to remove, so there's a possibility the paint might be so thick that one will need to use a vice or pliers.

It's my fault that I didn't see that these are about a inch and a half tall. However, the description /title is rather misleading, as it recommends these as coffee and tea storage, leading you to believe they are the size of tea tins. I guess someone could use these for samples or for travel, but no one "stores" coffee in containers this small. If the title described them as something like a pill container, it wouldn't be as confusing.

I really love these containers and would love to give a 5 star review but I can't.I ordered 2 sets, a total of 10 containers but I am only able use a total of 4 because the lids are so extremely tight that I cannot remove them no matter how hard I try.I had to open both packs to find 4 good ones I can actually use. I feel like I wasted my money.
