Worked great on my 2005 Monte Carlo, Easy to use!
I have struggled to get these Metra Axxess steering adapters to work in the past, they are usually a huge pain to get working but this just plugged in and needed to be programmed.

Works like it says it says
It's a little off point because it doesn't work one hundred percent but I want to say 95% of the features that it recommends that it has that it actually do work, the only shoe I had was with the steering wheel control unit it just doesn't properly recognize the buttons, for some reason it has an extreme delayed response for your seek up and down button and it can't differentiate the difference between source up and down. I reach out to manufacturer to try to get some inside but unfortunately it just seems that it was a common issue that just didn't work perfectly unfortunately but otherwise you get 95% of the features

Works as advertised. Watch out for typos in directions.
I upgraded the stock radio in my 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix and I used this harness as well as the ASWC-1 harness for my car. Both items from Axxess. I am an IT professional with intermediate experience with wiring, soldering, etc. I must say, with the harnesses provided, it was an easy install. The nice thing about having both wiring harnesses from the same company is that the wiring piece for the steering wheel control harness (ASWC-1) was already built into the GMOS harness. So, I saved some time and energy wiring things up.Wiring was very easy and involved snipping some unused wires (that are used for other model radios) and soldering a few others (you can wire tie them but solder is a better connection). The only difficult part of the install was fitting the harness wire bundles behind the head unit but a little maneuvering fixed that. One thing I will point out is the wiring instructions in the GMOS manual was inaccurate. It had me snip the wrong wire for the steering wheel control function for my car. A quick call to Axxess support sorted that out and a quick solder fix later I was in business. The device recognized my car and new stereo automatically (series of green and orange light blinks). All my steering controls work perfectly, all door chimes and On Star are audible. No need to waste money at Best Buy or other car audio place for install. It really is quite easy if you follow the directions and have a brain. On top of that, Best Buy was going to charge me $200 for both harnesses and $120 to install them...I bought both for about $100 on Amazon and did it myself. $220 savings.4 stars are for the typo in the directions leading me to waste a few hours troubleshooting.p.s. Don't forget an antenna adapter for the car! It was $4.99 as an add on from Amazon but Best Buy was asking $18 for it!

Great product, horrible instructions
Worked great for my vehicle. I only gave it 3 stars because the instructions are HORRIBLE! For anyone having trouble and who doesn't want to scour the internet for a long time like I did, here's some (hopefully) helpful information:You must connect BOTH red wires on the harness to your red wire on your head unit. The instructions don't mention there being 2 red wires, which is dumb, but I found a lot of people having that problem. Also, there will be A LOT of extra wires. Since this is generic for a lot of different manufacturers and models not all wires will be used. In my case I had 9 wires left over. I just taped them up with some electrical tape just to make sure no wires got loose or touched metal or anything.Product is great, but they really need to work on those instructions

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE
I installed a double din Avic system in a 2005 Avalanche using the GMOS-01 adapter and everything went great at first. Once installed, the door chimes and On Star worked perfectly as did the head unit. I was also able to adjust the volume of the chimes/ On Star with no problems therefore no question as to proper installation exists. After an hour of everything being installed, all systems went dead. No door chimes, no head unit power and no On Star. I naturally checked every fuse by checking ohm readings but found no bad fuses. (To explain my troubleshooting background....I have a degree in satellite communications engineering. I can test and replace to the component level....meaning I pull out circuit boards, test those tiny little components on the board, and then make repairs.)I then pulled the dash bezel and head unit in order to access the wiring. (This is a $1400 head unit I'm now having to toy around with.) I obtained a 12v reading from the vehicle harness and used the head unit case as my ground source. This did two things...confirmed proper ground of the head unit and 12v feed from the vehicle. I then proceeded to test the GMOS. It had 12v constant but lacked 12v at the accessory wire which initializes the head unit. (Yes, I had the truck turned on and this is still odd whereas the door chimes should have worked regardless seeing as to how the GMOS had a 12v input reading.) I then ran a jumper wire from the 12v constant feed to the 12v accessory wire...Low and behold the head unit powered up thus confirming lack of 12v accessory voltage from the GMOS. I then disconnected a plethora of wiring from the Avic so that it could be removed (three wire harnesses, Iphone adapter, GPS antenna, mic, rear view camera, subwoofer cables, etc.) I then disconnected the GMOS and reinstalled the factory radio.....Everything then worked as it should. I will now have to wait on a different brand adapter to arrive prior to installing the head unit. This was an absolute waste of time and a garbage product that lasted no more than an hour. Actually, it was merely powered on for 10 minutes within that hour.

2004 Chevy Trailblazer
Excellent, replaced an old GMOS-01 that stopped working after 7-years...had already checked fuses under the second row, all good, there was power to the back of my stereo, which led me to purchase a new stereo with no luck.... then tried starting truck and it was dead, had to jump start it, with this happening twice in three days, did some research and this interface apparently has the ability to drain your battery... ordered off Amazon overnight it, installed and wala, SOUND... ππ

5/5 Excellent Unit: Product Manual Listed Here For Vehicle Info.
Great unit, came with a matching harness for the OEM cables to just snap right into. No snipping wires or anything fancy, just plugged this unit the factory plug and with black tape wrapped off what was not being used. Also one very important piece of information, which is missing from this products description but is available in the manual, is a list of vehicles that this unit is fully compatible with. So here it is, if anyone is looking for this information and wasn't able to find it.BUICK:Allure 2005-2009Century 2004-2005LaCrosse 2005-2009Rainer 2004-2007Rendezvous 2002-2007Terraza 2005-2008CADILLAC:Escalade 2003-2006Escalade EXT 2003-2006CHEVROLET:Avalanche 2003-2006Cavalier 2000-2005Colorado 2004-UpCorvette 2005-UpExpress 2003-2007Impala 2000-2005Malibu 2000-2003Malibu Classic 2004Monte Carlo 2000-2005Silverado 2003-2006Silverado Classic 2007SSR 2003-2006Suburban 2003-2006Tahoe 2003-2006Trailblazer 2002-2009Uplander 2005-2008Venture 2000-2005GMC:Canyon 2004-UpEnvoy 2002-2009Savana 2003-2007Sierra 2003-2006Sierra Classic 2007Yukon/XL/Denali 2003-2006HUMMER:H2 2003-2007H3 2006-2009ISUZU:Ascender 2003-2008I-Series 2006-2008OLDSMOBILE:Alero 2001-2004Bravada 2002-2005Intrigue 2002Silhouette 2000-2004PONTIAC:Aztec 2001-2005Grand Am 2001-2005Grand Prix 2004-2008Montana 2000-2005Sunfire 2000-2005SAAB:9-7X 2005-2009SATURN:Relay 2005-2007

for pontaic grand prix gt
worked like a charm for installing a after market stereo on my 2004 Pontiac grand prix gt and it was needed vs the cheap option knocking off my gauges during driving

Slightly Defective But it Worked...Eventually.
This is the exact same unit sold at Future Shop for $250. I received it quickly, but the Future Shop installer said the ground wire for it wasn't working. As I said, they sell them so he's familiar with these so after running a new wire to my e-brake he got it to work. I'm wondering now if these units are "seconds" or if I just got unlucky. Either way, a bit of hassle saved me almost $200.
