Solid affordable hood with good customer service
This hood is well built and I found it fairly easy to install. After a few years I had a problem with the lights, but after finally making contact with customer service, they were able to fix the issue. Recommended.

I would not recommend
The package arrived and looked like it had been re-taped multiple times, and upon opening, there was a huge dent in the front of the unit. There was a substantial restocking fee to return the damaged unit.

Inexpensive & looks good. Good service. Some parts defective
These hoods look as good as the ones from the high end brands and you would have to pay double the price to buy one from an appliance store. The first one I received was dented in shipment. unfortunately this just happens with things like this so be sure to carefully check your unit over QUICK so you can send it back if it arrives damaged. The reason I gave it four stars is because the electronics in my unit were defective. The digital display which shows the speed of the fan has been wonky since day 1 but we've lived with it. After a few months the lights failed and don't shine....they just sort of flicker or pulsate if turned on. The Zline website indicates a 3 years warranty which ain't bad. I called their service department and they are shipping me replacement parts at no cost. I have no problem installing them. UPDATE. The hood was installed in June of 2018. The lights failed in May of 2019 and have now failed a second time in December of 2019. There appears to be quality control issues with the internal electronics.

What Amazon sent us and what we bought were two ...
What Amazon sent us and what we bought were two different things. The specifically bought this unit because it showed that the lights were in the front of the unit and not in the back. What we received has lights in the back. The model shown on the site has a distinctive edge between the bottom and where it angles up but the one we received has a sloped edge. Unfortunately we didn't know this until it was installed and now it's too late to do anything about it. Buyer beware!

Fan wheels misbalanced causing low frequency vibrartion
The media could not be loaded. The initial fan I have vibrates badly and causes a low hum which is amplified by the wall. The video shows the vibration in the reflection on the unit.
