Fit and function are not synonymous
As 2014-2015 Chevy Silverado owners are aware, these trucks are notorious for inadequate low beam headlamps. In an attempt to mitigate this issue on my 2015 Silverado, I purchased the PIAA 26-17311 White H11 Platinum LED Bulb Kit which according the Amazon “This fits your: 2015 Silverado LT”The product arrived well packaged with a decent instruction set which explains the connections and how to reverse the heat sink if needed. The headlamps on the 2015 Silverado sit behind removable covers that seal out dust, dirt and moisture.Installation was relatively easy although the right side headlamp required removal of the air filter box to get to it.The only real problem on installation was finding a place to tuck the controllers within the housing. Since the covers seal the housing from the engine bay, there is no way to secure the controllers outside the headlamp housing without drilling holes in the dust covers. I was able to locate an area inside the housing that was out of the way. After I completed the install, I turned on the headlamps and was very pleased with the light output and distance. The following morning I set out for work at my usual 4:30 am. I was really happy with the light output as I drove through my dimly lit residential neighborhood.A few miles later, as I was nearing the interstate, both headlamps suddenly went out at the same time with no warning. I immediately pulled into a parking lot to check them and just as I stopped, they came back on. I turned the headlamp knob off and on and the lights worked fine, so I proceeded to work.A few minutes later on the interstate, they suddenly went off again. Fortunately, my vehicle is equipped with fog lamps which afforded me some semblance of light. A couple minutes later, the LEDs came back on. I was forced to return home with the lights going off and coming on at about two minutes intervals the whole way.In researching the issue, I learned the lights were overheating and would power off as a safety precaution. Once cooled down, they would come on again until they got too hot and powered off.It is possible removing the covers on the back of the headlamps might have resolved the problem but as the covers are there for a reason, I did not want to risk damaging anything inside the housing by removing them. I was therefore forced to go back to the halogens. As I was packing the LEDs up for return I spotted a small notation on the box. It was printed in very small font in very light ink that almost blended with cover. The notation states “For off-road use only”. This important information was not noted in the description on Amazon.Suffice to say, it was extremely annoying to having wasted my time ordering and installing what is clearly an unsafe product for normal road use. There is no telling what may have happened had I not had fog lamps and driving on a rural road when the headlamps went out.The fact that this product is only designed for off-road use should have been prominently stated on the packaging as well as in the description on Amazon. In summary, this product is WILL NOT work for normal use on a 2015 Silverado.

Much brighter than halogens, instant on
I bought HID headlights for my car but one side didn't turn on all the time. I decided to switch to these LEDs and have been happy since. They are certainly much brighter than the stock halogens. However, the HIDs I had were definitely brighter. The advantage of these are they consistently worked and were instantly bright instead of the few seconds for the HID's to reach full brightness. I've had multiple PIAA products and they've never disappointed me. But, those were all made in Japan. These are made in China. I'm a bit concerned about longevity as they don't have fans in the back like other models of PIAA LEDs I've purchased. I only had mine about 2 months now and so far they've been good. I hope PIAA know what they're doing. I'll update this review should there be any issues down the line.

Very bright, great build quality, slight blue tint
So I first purchased the Phillips Ultinon fog light bulbs to replace the H11 bulbs in the fog lights of my 2014 Grand Cherokee. The Phillips fit nicely and had a nice white color to them. However, they were not even close to as bright as the oem 55w halogen bulbs. I returned those and bought these. The PIAA bulbs have very good build quality and are very bright! They are very close to the brightness of the 55w halogen they replaced. These are intended to be headlight replacements, but work perfectly fine for fog lights as long as the wiring and light enclosure can support the extra power and heat. The only thing I dislike about these is the color temperature. These have a slight blue shade to them. I have 6000k Phillips hid bulbs that are white with no trace of blue. I was hoping these would match better than they do. But overall I am pleased and will be keeping them. Hopeful they hold up well.

Worth the price!
After a lot of research and reading I decided to go with the PIAA bulbs to replace in my 2017 Civic so the Daytime Running Lights would match the headlights. Halogen lights that have a bright white/blue color typically only have a bulb life of 300 hours which is ridiculously low. A lot of LED bulbs out there either have fans on the back which make noise and will eventually fail, and/or don' have the ability to adjust the beam which makes everyone coming at your way curse at you because they can't see. (pro tip the LED's need to typically point to the sides not up and down when installed)These were a direct plug and play and work great. The biggest pain, which really isn't even a pain, is figuring out where to place the small converter box. I just zip tied them to wherever was around.I highly recommend these and I'll be getting them to replace my fog lights soon!

Great lights, wouldn’t work in my housings.
These were super bright and nice quality product. Plug and play in a 13 Kia sorrento and Chevy 2500. Both headlights (one projector and one reflector) would not focus the light. The projectors on the Kia had a dead spot in the center and top of the beam. The Chevy would not focus any type of hotspot with these, no mater how I turned them, they were completely useless in the Chevy.

Quality LEDs. Worth the extra money.
These made the incandescent fog lights brighter and whiter. They rotate so you can adjust the emitters to the position that works best with your particular reflectors. High quality well made product.

Ok I guess.
So they do look amazing. And they do match OEM led's perfectly. But they do not put out to much light. I just installed these in my 2017 Durango GT fog light housing. Very easy install but not much brighter at all. Luckily my HID headlights are extremely bright so I guess I'll leave them in.

Extremely poor customer service from PIAA
Installed the bulbs and everything worked well until just before the 2 year mark. One bulb no longer lights up and tried troubleshooting by swapping them around to be powered by the other controller and clearly it's the bulb that's not working. I contacted PIAA through their website and filled out the warranty request form since it was just under the 2 year warranty mark. I got an email response the next day (missed it at first since it went to my spam folder) asking if I installed resistors with the bulbs and that it requires a resistor to work right even though there is no mention of the required resistors in the instructions at all. I asked for more details about these resistors as there weren't any included in the kit and the communication became quite rude and I got one line responses in all caps telling me to go to Amazon to get resistors that fit. Since then I have done more research about these resistors and yes, some vehicles do require them as the vechicle detects the lower current draw so may think there's failure. My Honda doesn't seem to require the resistors but I acquire some and installed them anyways to follow the recommendations but failed bulb is still not working and I haven't received a response from PIAA.TLDR: Don't expect proper communication from PIAA or expect them to actually stand behind the warranty. Very disappointed as I spent more for PIAA bulbs as I thought they've been around with a trustworthy reputation but instead I was treated quite poorly.

Not bright enough
Just not bright enough to carry a decent low beam. I sent back for the Hikari and have zero regrets.I’m a big PIAA fan, but these are simply not bright enough. Cars tried were 2019 civic and 2019 CRV with halogen projector.

The best LED you can buy
I've been a PIAA customer since the late 90"s, never been disappointed, This is the best LED I ever bought, High quality build, the right color, just hope they will last since all other LED's don't last more than a year
