I've wanted everything from Groomer's Helper for at least a decade, but the expense has unfortunately kept me from doing so. The thing is, you do get what you pay for a lot of the time, and that's definitely the case with grooming loops.Finally over spending hours of my life unpleasantly struggling with challenging grooming clients, I went the cheaper route initially. Foolishly, I thought that if the loop had a ring attached, I could hook it to my device for holding heads in place. Please, don't ask me how I overlooked the reality that the loop I got was not locking, but I did. And, anyone who grooms knows what happened next...the ring and loop stayed in place, but not the dog. Not any dog. All they have to do is lightly pull back to loosen the loop and walk right out of it (or bite me for having the gall to trim their leg fur and nails).After suffering for my mistake for weeks, I just bought this. The real Groomer's Helper loop with fixed d-ring, locking clamp, AND safety release.To demonstrate exactly how much of a life-changer this very simple loop is, let me tell you about its arrival.I'd been (impatiently) awaiting its arrival for days, hoping it would get there before my next client that could be helped by it. Of course, as always happens, it did not arrive until the "doodle" puppy I had been grooming was close to finished. I still decided to test it out, as this very, very, large puppy is at the stage of giving quite a bit of push-back with anything that's too boring or might be annoying.In under 15 minutes, I was able to fully and perfectly dry this dog's head, ears, and feet like never before, all without him being too stressed about it either. Going back over him to finish up and neaten was also done in record timing for him. If I'd had the Groomer's Helper loop at the start of this groom, it would have taken me WELL under half the time from start to finish! (I'm talking a difference of 6 hours vs 2 here, seriously.)Since then, I've used the loop on most of my clients at some point during their grooms, and the time and stress it has shaved off (haha) has been a thing of beauty. All while still being comfortable for the dogs and safe to use. I do intentionally slow, one-on-one grooming meant for dogs with health problems, advanced age, and behavioral challenges. My whole goal is to provide a more comfortable and pleasant experience for the dogs, and safety is, of course, top priority. I can't explain it, but even the dog I groom who outright goes into a blind panic upon finding herself restrained doesn't lose her cool with this product. I've even been able to keep making progress with a couple of dogs who had hit a plateau in their behavioral recovery because this loop allows me to show them, while they are in a maintained calm state, that everything is totally fine. And, though I don't leave dogs unattended or other practices of gross negligence, it's such a peace of mind to have the quick release safety feature right there-you can never predict or plan for all emergencies or be safe enough!I also love that it comes in one of my business' colors, the dark purple. That's a minor thing, but it makes me happy to not have to choose from black or a series of increasingly awful neon colors lol I plan to get the three pack soon so that I'll always have at least one available in case another is damaged or is being washed and dried.Please, save yourself physical suffering and patience taxing-buy the Groomer's Helper loop! You will not at all regret it. You'll "unbox" to see a product that's uncommonly well-made, and the first time you use it, you'll be really annoyed with yourself for not buying one eons ago.Do note that this is JUST the grooming loop, it does not include the product you will need if you wish to hold the dog's head/limit their range of potentially dangerous motion. It works beautifully just as a standard grooming loop, but most people looking for a fixed, or floating, d-ring equipped loop are looking expressly to do this. You will need to purchase the starter kit from Groomer's Helper or some manner grooming table arm accessory meant to work with the Groomer's Helper grooming loop. This is where the ring will attach to safely hold the dog's head in place away from your tools...and arms, hands, fingers, face, etc. This is not a miracle tool on its own, it needs its friend!!

I bought these as part of my professional grooming set. They are definitely worth the extra money. There are some cheaper ones out there, but they do not compare to the quality of these. They are not ones that you will have to replace constantly due to breaking. Highly recommend!

I’m a dog groomer and tend to have giant breeds come through often. This holds up well and does the job better than any other one I have tried. It’s really easy to clean as well and the color is vibrant! It’s big enough to fit the biggest necks and small enough to fit the tiny ones as well.

Love the groomers helper system, it's a life saver for difficult dogs! My only complaint is the quality has definitely gone down, I used to be able to get away with buying a new noose every few years, now I'm lucky to make it 6 months. Still love how useful it is though!

Used a Groomers Helper at my old salon, now that I am on my own I bought this lead and then use a base that I made myself. This is one of the most essential tools I use and it helps keep the dogs in place & is an excellent safety product for both myself, and the dogs I groom as it keeps elderly and blind dogs in place so they do not wander to the edges of my table and fall off!

Sister is very happy, her old helper broke. This one is a good affordable replacement
