Works great for mini tools but not full size.
These mats work great but are too small for standard size flat irons and curling irons. When wrapped around the standard size tools, they don't cover the whole hot surface.

Just what I was looking for
These were exactly what I was looking for! I usually do my hair using my full-length mirror and end up setting my heated tools on my bedside table, so these are the perfect size for me and would be easy for me to travel with. But if you need heat tools for multiple hot tools at once, it may be easier to look for a larger size (I guess these could work since they come in a pack of three, but I know I would get annoyed trying to keep track of all three at once).
