The Mower Shop HRN216 Wheel Set (Includes 2 Rear Wheels 42710-VR8-N00ZA and 2 Front Wheels 44710-VR8-N00ZA)

Bought a full set to replace the original wheels. Put the mower on the lift, pulled off all 4 wheels, cleaned up the gear on the back wheels, lubed it and put all 4 wheels back on in easily 15 minutes. The wheels were nice and heavy quality.

Perfect fit for HRN216. Easy to install. Literally only took 5 minutes to remove old wheels and install new Honda Factory replacement wheels. I previously ordered HNN216 wheels by my own mistake, which look very similar, but do not fit on my HRN216. I have owned about 7 mowers over the past 35 years and this is the very first time i have ever had to replace the wheels on a mower, and this mower is only 2 years old. Instead of solid plastic or rubber wheels, Honda makes the wheels out of plastic with a rubber tread that wears down. Oh well, it is a great mower, so here we go with new factory wheels.

The new wheels are a perfect match and with only one size socket needed easy to install.Pro tip - Once each old wheel is removed use compressed air to remove grass clipping and then thoroughly clean each axle with a rag. I also LIGHTLY greased the rear drive gears and rear axles.

So, I use these on the only mower they fit. The newest residential self propelled honda hrn216. Great mower, terrible wheel design. Having only a bushing shoved into it instead of a bearing like the commercial version, sucks! I have a pile of old broken wheels. As you can see from my pics, they use the same front and rear. They simply melt on a gear, melt in a bushing, and change the tread a bit. Probably cost less than a dollar to make in China. Cmon Honda!If I keep buying wheels at this rate, I can afford the hrc216. Maybe that's their plan. LolHomeowners you'll prob be fine. I admit i beat these mowers daily on rough lawns on steep slopes. I also pack the insides with epoxy to stiffen around the splines that hold that bushing. Helps some.If you want serious traction, cut a mountain bike tire side wall off and 3/4 self tapper the center of the tire to the mower wheel. The grip is insane on wet hills and in general. I'm quite aware that this added to the wear on them significantly though.
