Brings me back to my childhood.
The media could not be loaded. My mom bought me one when I was 6 yrs old, those cheap pot metal hibachi’s but boy did I love it. I got rid of my charcoal when I got my pellet grill but still missed the flavor of charcoal on certain cooks or when im just too lazy to set up the pellet grill. This hits the bill perfectly. I’ve done a huge trip tip and as you can see a pack of chicken legs.2 thing to note. It will rust if you leave it uncovered and in the rain, I keep mine covered, oiled and off the ground and so far no problems. If I was going to nit pick anything, they should have made a lip on the bottom plate where you bolt the main body to. This way any drippings would remain inside. Since this is two pieces, oils from the food or sauces can find their way out of the crack at the bottom. Not much of a problem since I cook with this sitting in a 4 ft sheet pan on top of a mobile deck table.Regardless, all in all I’m quite satisfied as it’s well made.

Great grill
A little heavy for me now. Make gift to my brother and buy myself something lighter. I know he wants it. LOL. Good solid grill. No problem assembling nothing missing.

Sturdy hibachi
I like this hibachi and I would give it 5 stars but I was really annoyed and disappointed when it arrived with no grates yet two bottom plates, the box was not open, so it was factory packed like that. Had to exchange for another one and that one was fine and had all the parts included. This comes with the grill body open on top and bottom, a heavy bottom plate bolts on the bottom, a grate fits down inside and a larger grate sits on top. It has a nice double bail handle and it comes with a grate lifter. It also has a thin cover to go on top. We had one when we were dating in the 70’s and we used it all the time. This one seems larger, it’s sturdy and heavy set up but still quite portable. Hibachi grills don’t have a lid, they are not the best for bone in chicken that cooks better covered, it’s fine for most everything else, boneless chicken breast, burgers, steaks and veggies and seafood or pork. It feels like it will last a long time, the cast iron is pretty thick, it’s a good quality hibachi. I have a few cast iron pans from this brand that I love. This is perfect for the two of us, I really enjoy it. Recommend

Perfect
It's just me now so if I want a steak or anything else grilled I don't have to fire up the large grill or smoker.

Perfect size for quickish grilled meal or two
Just got this today. Put it together which was breeze (other than receiving two different sized bolts and nuts), seasoned it w/olive oil and immediately fired up some lump coal and made some Korean BBQ, chicken and steak tips. Heated up excellent. For my last three skewers I flipped the grill grate upside down so the meat would be closer to the coals as they were dying down. Still cooked perfectly! Really enjoyed my first use. I definitely will make more use of this for smaller meals. Packaging was great and no damage to box nor Hibachi. Definitely recommend it!

Heavy cast iron. Fun for date night, camping, special events for small families.
Well built! Easy to assemble. Season as it states before first and grates before every use thereafter, becomes non- stick. ❤️ Cast iron.It comes packaged as compact as they can get. I had to get a replacement since in shipping the package was very damaged and the piece had huge crack. They were very quick to replace in 2 days and I didn’t even ask for that which worked since I was surprising my husband with date night and that GRILL was front and center the big part.I digress, there are many recipe’s on internet for great quick sauces to make this even more authentic. The grill performed outstanding! I bought lump charcoal and a chimney starter, followed directions when it was time to start the evening with all my kebab fixings pre prepped, if you use wood skewers PRE SOAK or they burn up quick.I would add to get silicone basting brushes for the sauce and separate tongs, small ones good grip teeth, if you are assembling the kebabs at the table.Have fun, put on some island music and make an evening of it. Maybe even Danielle with your loved one(s). Life is short …. Make it special and this grill sure has and will for many future occasions.

It Makes a Mean Burger
We cooked some burgers with the top grill in the higher position and they came out perfect. We made five but could have added a couple more. Ma said it was the best burger she'd had in a long time- even better than Outback's. I'm not sure on that, but at least a close second. Then we roasted marshmallows. It was fun.Cleanup wasn't too bad. I had oiled the whole thing down with vegetable oil when I first put it together. After the coals cooled, I dumped them and dry dusted with a paper towel and then dampened a paper towel with a bit of water to wet dust. Then I rubbed some more oil to protect the metal. I used a razor scraper to get the hard globs off of the grill and a brush to get the rest. I like that I don't need to put it in soap and water. It can be cleaned by brushing and rubbing with oil. Almost looks like new out of the box.The only thing I can think to complain about is the weight, but I wanted cast iron and I got cast iron. I am very happy with this little cooker-outer.
