LG Optimus L9 British Blue Police Box Cover Case

I am assuming people are getting an off color because the one I got was blue.First It looks and feels great in the hand, the back painting has some texture to it while also being smooth. Nice little touch.Second It isn't bulky at all so there is no worries or trying to make it fit. All the buttons are easy to get to and work just fine, it actually isn't flush against them there is about a cm on either side of them so it's not like you have to find the spot perfectly to get to them. it is a hard two piece snap on case, once it's on it's on, I didn't drop it much but never did the case pop off from the impact until later on which I will explain.Second Protection wise I'm not sure this is the best option, I got this case with the look in mind not so much protection since I'm VERY careful with my phones. I dropped it a small handful of times with the case, twice to concrete and it survived the fall with little more than a scratch. Which leads to..Three I don't think the edges were properly sealed if at all. The white started to horribly discolor and is now brown, the picture on the edges started to fade/chip off HOWEVER the back image is still mostly intact. My suggested solution to this is as soon as you get this get something to spray over/coat the whole thing with a clear coat.Finally this may very well be my fault, but at about the year mark the pieces that snap together and the edges of those parts of the case started to just break away like it was nothing. In my attempt to get the white color back I tried washing the case with bleach which I now think ate away at the plastic thus causing this problem later on.Basically if you are a Whovian, and don't man handle your phone this is a decent case, Also if you don't mind the possible sealing or the discoloring. Personally I do plan on getting a second and painting the white black before giving it a coat.

My wife and I are obsessed Whovians, For those of you who don't know what a Whovian is; It's a person who's absolute favorite show is Doctor Who! I chose this case for my Cell phone because I wanted something slimmer than what I got when I bought the phone. But then I took a close look at the picture shown, and noticed that not only is it not listed as the TARDIS (The Doctors Spaceship/Time machine, But it also only resembled it about 90%. I had typed in my phone model and the word TARDIS in the Search box - This is one of the first items that came up. I was so excited about it, that I completely over looked the listings title. Although the TARDIS was/is designed after the British Police Box, I was unaware of what I was really buying. Then things got worse after I purchased it. The next day I checked the order for shipping info, and noticed in the advertised picture, that the Police Box design was cut off a lot on the left side of the actual image, plus the right side of the picture was a bit too thick. But it was already shipped and on it's way. I told my Wife that I was just going to return it when it came in the mail. But it came on time, and when it did - she insisted that we at least open the package to see how back the artist job really was.To BOTH our eyes, we got a pleasant surprise! Although the drawing had looked 90% alike the TARDIS, it was actually 97% like it! It resembled the 11th Doctors TARDIS and was only missing the "St. Johns" writing in the circle on the right side's door, and of course the Light that's normally atop the TARDIS wasn't drawn on either. But other than that, The one that we received looked way better! The artist job on it was completely symmetrical, and the wood grain drawings were actually 3-d textured! It actually felt like a small piece of plastic wood!We were totally impressed, and decided to keep the case and immediately placed it on the phone - Perfect fit!We are totally satisfied with the purchase, and my Wife is going to get one as well when she gets a new phone.So we will definitely be returning customers!Also the packaging was pretty decent, I feel it should have come in a small box - not an envelope. But it did arrive on time, safe and in perfect condition.Thank you Trekgear and Amazon!

If you have the Optimus L9 cellphone, TV show/bands/other franchise themed cases are hard to find. I am a Doctor Who fan and I am pleased with my case. I have been told by two others that the case does, indeed, look purple, but to me it's just a indigo/blue, and I am very pleased with it. The case snapped on well and feels very sturdy. If you are a Doctor Who fan who has this cellphone, I would definitely recommend it; it was worth my money.

The case is very sturdy. It is a little difficult to take off the phone, but that is what helps protect the phone when it's dropped. The paint scratched very quickly, maybe a coat of clear protector would help with this. Lots of compliments and conversations started because of this case. I would buy it again but make sure to coat it with a clear coat of polyurethane before using it.

The picture provided is quite misleading. I ordered this thinking this was going to be a 3D-ish case. Like with some of the panels sticking out and what not. But it turned out to be just a plastic case with the Tardis printed on it. And it's not even printed that well. The sides are sort of faded and it reeks of ink.Is it a okay case? Yes.Worth $10? No.

The graphics on this case are great, and the case is very sturdy. My only complaints are that the front of the case is this cheesy white color that looks like it was painted with liquid correction fluid and there does not seem to be a protective coating on the paint. It does scratch and chip somewhat easily especially around the edges.
