I love this screwdriver ratchet. I have one in my house, truck, and at work.

The screwdriver is easy to use and the ratcheting system feels solid. I really like the thin extension on this screwdriver compared to other multi-bit drivers because it allows you to get into tight spaces. As stated in other reviews the bit holder space does not hold the bits very well and needs a redesign by Dewalt. If they had added just a 1/8 inch more length to the plastic retainers then the bit holders would work perfectly. I also have an issue with the ball bearing that holds the bits into the driver side. The hole was not large enough to allow the ball bearing to stick out enough to hold the bits into place. I resolved this issue by widening the hole with a drill bit. Now the ball bearing sticks out enough to hold the bearings in place. I did not see this issue in other reviews. so maybe I just got a screwdriver that wasn't fully quality checked.All in all I would buy this bit driver again. I like that I do not need a separate bag to hold the bits. The extension bar works great for getting into tight spaces that the other bit drivers can't get into because the diameter of their extension bar is to large. I also like that the handle is a good size to fit my hand without causing fatigue.

As a former carpenter, I do lots of stuff on my house and car. I have tried to get a ratching screw driver. They are all handy dan specials, cheap and very low quality. This one is solid. It comes with an extender so it can be a stubby or standard lenght screw driver. Highly recomended.

I use this driver every day at work and I love how the small handle fits into my tool bag. I can use the handle with normal bits if I need to get into a tight space or use it with the long extension if I need the reach. I mostly use it locked because the ratchet has a high enough torque that it won't be turned by loose-ish screws and relatively large turn between teeth. The only downside for me is that normal small bits can be hard to remove without pliers, but I can often get them out by hand, and longer bits are fine. AND, almost forgot to mention, the cap that covers the storage bit area swivels freely, like a precision screwdriver and I really like that.

The assortment of bits is great, but for me u have to work at getting the bits into the bit holder and I find when ready to exchange a bit , I pull open the bit holder and some of the bits fall out and the end needs to be magnetic

DeWalt The name says Quality itself.A tad annoyed that the bits dont stay put in the hande cavity provided, but who needs to fiddle around when they can be put into a Small Plastic jar with a lid.???When You are buxy, you cannot be bothered fiddling around putting things all neat and in a row....Well Me anyway!

I own 3 of these now. I'd never buy another "fixed size" screwdriver versus changeable-tips. This one is solid & strong. I've always been leery of 'ratchet' screwdrivers, but the mechanism on this one never fails no matter how much it's used and abused. And like most DeWalt tools, it has great ergonomics and just feels 'right' in the hand. I don't use the in-handle tip storage, but it's a nice feature for those who may like that.

I had one before so I wanted to buy another one to take my video games & consoles apart. I have one for everything else & it still works to this day. Very rugged & durable. Never had a problem with my other one at all.
