Symmetric/Perfect cut and Easy-steady sound
Before this product (1.5 strength) I used a 1.5 very solid reed but the company no longer produced this product, so I started looking for replacements, I tried rico vandoren and a lesser known reed but all none were symmetrical and left me with getting a bad sound, I thought that a synthetic reed will offer a more precise cut and immediately upon use found myself producing a very strong and steady sound, even better than the reed I was replacing. In my opinion if your starting out with the tenor sax go for the 1.5, it was very easy to get a clear note but not too soft where you can not control it.just to be noted I use a rico mc metalite and with this 1.5 I am able to play surf and rock.I rarely review products only when I really liked the product or if its terrible, this reed is perfect from the cut to strength

Great product
The plastic reeds are more study and have a more clear sound than the traditional wooden or bamboo reeds . These reeds don’t chip and you can’t break them unless you really try to break them , I will be using these more also because you do not have to replace them for a very long time ( or until you feel that you need to ) .

Beginner reeds
Tone was a problem; good reed for beginners

Perfect for jazz🎷
I have used the classic cut on Bari and Alto, and this studio cut on tenor. Buying 1 Reed for over $20 is very intimidating, but I am extremely glad I have. The best feature of this Reed is how much easier it makes it to play full sounding, low notes at a low volume. I use this Reed for jazz because I find that the tone is brighter than a good cane reeds, and less "fine". This makes the Reed great for jazz but it just doesn't work well in a classical setting (which is okay because I didn't buy it for classical). Overall, Légère has a very strong line of reeds that I will be using regularly.

Legere Studio Cut Reeds
I have purchased and tried probably a majority of synthetic reeds over the last several years. I play primarily tenor and have been playing for over 3o years now. I have found the Legere Studio Cut Reeds to be the most consistently good for the money. Though they say they are all identical...like other reeds they are not. Sometimes I will get one that just plain does not sound as good as another and they do vary in thickness beyond the rating at times... but all in all, when I find a good one, it lasts for months and sounds really good. I use it with Guardala\Branford mouthpiece...and haven't even used a wood reed in years.

This reed is very easy to blow
I play this read on a Cannonball Raven tenor saxophone and a Jody Jazz Jet 6 and occasionally a Cannonball No. 5, 5*, and 7 mouthpiece. This reed is very easy to blow. Unlike my fibercell No. 3 and 2.5 or Vandoren Blue box No. 3 and 2.5 it gives me good intonation throughout the chromatic scale, especially around the note A if you have ever experienced it. The Legere 1.5 is equivalent to a size 3 in wood or other synthetics. Excellent Jazz reed.

Legere Studio Reeds are bright and full on.
I used to assume -wrongly- that the better a player you were the harder the reed. However, if you have a wider, bigger mouthpiece a softer reed helps. In this case, my Tube Tunnel sized Jumbo Java (great name!) is a lot better and brighter with a Legere 2 Studio reed. The regular Legere 3 made bottom B Flat a bit of a struggle. However, with this reed I can really have a lighter but full bright sound. I don't need amplification in clubs either.

God I love this thing
God I love this thing. The best invention ever. Using it on one of my xaphoons.I only wish they were a wee bit cheaper and a lot easier to find. Legere, please have mercy on us Bulgarians. All we get is Vandorens and Rico's...

Superbe qualité
Très bonne anche. Ce n'est pas la première que j'utilisé. A long terme beaucoup plus économique que les anche de bois. Plus rapide quand vient le temps de jouer.
