The only difference is it's unique brown band.Our genuine Panama hats (traditional style and colourful ones) are all hand woven and fairly traded in Ecuador. They are made from Toquilla Straw (Paja toquilla). Panama hats are made and worn all over Latin America, but the traditional Panama hat which has taken its name from the Panama canal, are made in Ecuador. Their flexibility and the fact that you can fold or roll them for traveling, makes them unique.The sizes are in centimeters and based on the circumference of the head passing across the middle of the forehead. As all our hats are handmade, the brim size varies slightly but it normally measures about 4 cm. Very impressed
Buying anything online is always a bit of a gamble, buying a hat online is very often an unwise move. I recently bought one from a very reputable high street store that arrived as if It had been run over by a bus. It was the and equivalent quality of a £5 kiss me quick hat despite costing £50. So my expectations were low when ordering this. However, I was extremely impressed, arrived quicker than estimated and was very well packed with clear maintenance and rolling instructions . The hat is of really high quality, the weaving is amazingly intricate and precise. Unlikely many I’ve tried before this is super lightweight, you barely know you’ve got it on. Not had the chance or need to roll it yet but based on the quality of manufacture I am confident it will perform as claimed. Very happy with it and would recommend it.

Very high quality hat. The brown band is excellent and gives a very individual and classy look. I did need to insert some cork strips into the inner lining because it was a little too large, but that worked very well, resulting in a very comfortable and stylish hat.

Excellent Panama hat
Beautiful hat. Better than panamas I’ve seen at twice the price. Saving it for my trip so not sure yet how it will stand up but looking at other reviews and the quality of hat I have high hopes

The original and the best
Tumi provide an excellent service and the Panama hat they make is first rate. Sizes are reasonably accurate and the finish to the product is excellent. This fedora style of Panama hat is not best suited to being rolled up, but when I recently crushed mine in the boot of the car it was returned to normal by a bit of steam and stretch. Love it.

Good hat for the price
Very good Panama hat for half the money of a Christie but not Christie’s quality. Fine as a lockdown purchase.

Really great hat
Panama Hat only arrived yesterday so can't comment, however if it is as good as my old on (20 years old) I'll have no complete. Pity there was no Tube supplied with this one.

Just the Job
The hat was packed well and received in good order. It fits well and looks good. Instructions included for rolling which I will try after the hat has been worn for a time as per the instructions. The cream colour, is I feel, more suitable for me as an older person.

Nothing wrong except I am a little unsure about the hat size, smaller than my other hats at the same size.
