Tough case but check with your magsafe charger.
This is a really solid, very protective case which unscrews to fit around your iPhone. It comes with a screwdriver for the very small cross head screws that hold this case together. It's not entirely clear from the photo, but this is a one piece case, so does not come with any form of screen protection. There is a separate piece for placing over your camera lenses which is really easy to stick on and which fits perfectly with no issues.Being metal alloy , this is quite a heavy case, but it does feel really solid and protective. There's a cut out on the back for your mag safe charger, but if, like me, you use a stand up charger for your iPhone, it will not work. Mine is a Belkin and it just does not charge through the case.I did find that I lost one of the screws when unscrewing the case because they are tiny, which is irritating - not least because I don't want it to mess up my vacuum cleaner! You do get spares, but be aware it is incredibly easy to lose a screw. For me, though , the issue apart from the weight, is that charging. To charge with my Belkin charger I'd have to remove the case every time, and that's too much of a faff.

VERY strong case - Only works with genuine apple MagSafe - Quite big
This is definitely not really a fashion case, but if you use your phone in a tough environment or are clumsy and drop it a lot, you won't get better protection than this. Putting the phone in the case requires taking a few screws out and putting phone in place, once done, you have military grade drop protection. In terms of practicality, the increase in size on an already big phone, may be too much for some people, but it didn't bother me. In relation tot he MagSafe charging, it won't work with larger third party chargers, but the genuine apple one works absolutely fine for me...

Metallic Design
I love the design, cool, metallic look.Although the four corners of the phone case are designed to mitigate impacts, the hollow design on the four sides cannot fully protect the phone when it falls. It's a metal case that's very sturdy and requires screws to hold it in place, as well as a magnetic circular cutout on the back. This circular cutout can be magnetically attracted to the magnetic phone ring holder, but it is not compatible with magsafe.

Good if you don't use MagSafe
My first impression of this case was very good with the quality of manufacture of the various parts looking excellent. Fitting it to the phone was more involved than most cases as once the phone is placed in the case the top which surrounds the screen is held in place by 8 tiny screws. Fortunately a small screwdriver is provided which perfectly holds the tiny cross head screws but maybe this is not the case for a user that changes cases frequently. For example, I normally like a simple case to protect my phone but sometimes put it in a wallet style case with a few credit cards. The other issue with changing cases is the small screws. I dropped one on the carpet and it took a while to find. A couple of spares are provided but I can foresee the case being useless when I have run out of spares.Once the phone is fitted there is a rather well made cover which protects the lenses of the camera. This sticks into place on the case of the phone around the lenses. I have removed and refitted it a couple times with no issues but not sure how many times I would get away with doing this before the adhesive loses its power to hold.Once everything was fitted I was quite impressed with the result. The case certainly looks good with its carbon fibre and grey finish although on a Pro Max phone the whole package is getting a little heavy. The fact that the corners stick out a little makes the phone easy to hold securely but then I started to see some problem areas.First the most minor one is the the sides of the phone have no protection as the case consists of a front and rear plate and nothing covers the sides other than the corners so the areas around the volume buttons have no protection at all. More important is that it seems to offer little drop protection. I have favoured the simple slip on plastic sleeve cases which have soft flexible plastic edges which can deform to soften drops. This case has solid aluminium corners and although they have very thin felt pads on the inside which stops the phone being scratched there is nothing to soften any drops so any load is transmitted to the phone. Both of the above failings may be acceptable but the final problem is that despite claims to the contrary on the Amazon page this case is close to useless for MagSafe charging. The rear of the case has a large circular cut out which is a smaller diameter than a standard Apple MagSafe charger so the charger is held a few mm away from the back of the phone. Although this still allows the phone to charge it reduces the magnet's hold to close to zero. Not a problem if the phone is just left on its back on the desk to charge but it means that my two rectangular car dashboard chargers do not have enough magnetic grip to hold the phone. The slightest car movement and the phone drops off. I live on a rough unmade road and until I tried this case the phone has never shown any signs of falling. A similar problem in the house. My desk charger is now useless as the slightest touch on the desk and the phone falls off the charger and I can't use the stand which holds the Apple charger by my bed to use the phone as my alarm clock. If I have to lay the phone on its back and carefully position the Apple MagSafe charger every day I may as well go back to just using a cable with a Lightning plug.Nice case but not if you want to use MagSafe.
