DC Men's Villain TX Slip-on Skate Shoes

I rock the black suede villains. have for several months now. INCREDIBLY light-weight, stylish moc/loafer. most comfy shoes ive ever had. take care of them and they make a great shoe for a night out with some casual slacks/jeans and a casual dress shirt. theyre understated enough to work with more than just a casual outfit imo.To me these shoes are special because theyre the absolute perfect balance. The latest craze nowadays is casual, low-key kicks that work together with outfits. The problem with A LOT of those shoes i find is that they almost always seem to have incredibly strange qualities to them. Other similar shoes are too narrow, or are completely plain. These shoes still have an youthful style to them while maintaining a certain elegance. The contrast of the white DC logo works beautifully. These shoes look very "cool", but Never overdo it. they dont really seem too youthful for any age group.Build quality is stellar. Chicago had its 3rd worst recorded winter in history last year. You can bet i was way too excited to wait till spring to wear these shoes. wore these babies all throughout mid/late winter. The front has a decent amount of fade at this point. but theyve stayed solid overall. I lift in these shoes all the time too (which im not necessarily recommending btw). bottoms have stayed intact as well. Ive given these shoes a beating overtime, and if i wasnt feeling like a fresh pair was in order, i could probably rock these for another year with ease.Only real warning I have with these shoes is size. since theyre so lightweight, they seem like they stretch out a bit easier than i expected. i would DEFINITELY recommend that anyone buying these shoes should at least try them on first. The thing with such lightweight loafers is that theyre going to be a bit roomy no matter how tight or loose you buy them: thats just the way theyre going to stretch out most of the time. Im pretty comfortable in a size 10 athletic shoe, but i bought these in a 9 and theyre as good of a fit as im getting.Many shoe retailers have these on the rack. Id say you should give 2-3 different sizes a try.Great shoe for sure. they maintain a youthful elegance that ive yet to see in any other similarly priced shoe.

the fit on these is looser than typical Vans and other skate shoes. I should have bought the next size smaller I think. The fit is weird it almost is like they sewed the top of a left foot shoe onto the bottom or the right foot shoe.

I've been wearing these shoes for the last year and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with DC. This was my first purchase from their brand and I was a little hesitant when I bought them. Hesitation is gone now! My only gripes are that they run a touch larger than expected, and they aren't built of the most sturdy materials on earth. Aside from that, I love these shoes. Super light, very comfy, they breathe well and keep my feet dry, and they're relatively waterproof if you aren't standing in a 4" deep puddle for hours on end. If I had to complain about something I'd say there is some slight fraying and wear on the stitching that holds the tongue and top of the shoe to the sides of the shoe, but after a year of hard use they still look just fine and are in no danger of falling apart any time soon. Buy yours a half size smaller than what you normally wear and you'll have some kickass loafers that will serve you well and keep you looking stylish.

I ordered these for my husband as a Christmas present. I ordered a size 11 at first and they were too big. I called to exchange for a smaller size, but was told I'd have to just return them and then re order in the new size. I did that and then waited for my refund which was taking a long time, so I went ahead and ordered a size 10 even before receiving my refund. A few days later (I have prime), I received the new shoes in a size 12! Called them back and they immediately shipped out a size 10 since it was their mistake they over nighted the package. They fit perfectly with socks, too big without. My only problem is I ordered the original pair at Christmas when there was a sale if you bought 4 pairs of shoes you would get 30% off, but when i received the refund, it was only half of the price of the second pair, it should have been adjusted properly. My husband loves them tho and they are holding up well, so it's ok.

DC is one of my favorite brands. These shoes fit perfectly!

**Latest Edit**I was able to send photos of where the shoes ripped to DC's warranty e-mail address and they are replacing with and shipping out a new pair. Would highly recommend these shoes and company.**Edit**I've had to revise my review on these shoes based on the last pair I received. After two days of normal wear the material ripped just under the tongue. Typically there might be a seam that will come undone at that point on the fabric shoes but I have never had the leather material rip.I've been hooked since buying my first pair of DC Villain's at Ross several years ago. They started out being used for house shoe duty and that eventually evolved into wearing them everywhere, including taking over for my dressy work shoes. This is my second pair of the Black/Black monogrammed since my first pair got a ton of use. Just in case some of you have read about the stitching coming undone on the Villain TX shoes, the monogrammed model doesn't seem to have the issue that the cloth/plaid does. The price on these couldn't be beat and with Amazon Prime were to my door in the promised 2 days.

I am a woman and I normally wear a size 8.5 wide in women's shoes. However, I have found that a Men's size 7 is usually more comfortable so when I find a shoe that I like, I always look for that style in a men's. That said, these shoes were a little snug when I first put them on but after wearing them around the house for 30 minutes they stretched a bit and are now very comfortable. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the shoes I received had a minor defect where someone had tried to repair with light gray thread. Luckily it's not really noticeable and my jeans cover it. (I didn't have time to exchange or I would have). Other than being a bit snug when I first put them on, these shoes run true to size compared to other men's shoes in a size 7. Love'm :-)

This shoes are unique and trendy looking. I was really happy with the shoes.

Bought these for my husband when his last pair finally fell apart. Either my husbands feet are different sizes or the shoes where not made the same. One fit a bit snug and the other was a bit large.

A LITTLE on the tight side but otherwise they're perfect! :)

I love these shoes - unfortunately they are of quite a wide shape (definitely wider than they look in the pictures sadly), so anyone with narrow feet will feel a bit awkward in them. Really light and comfortable though.The shoes aside, my biggest complaint is that the postage charges to return the shoe form the UK is almost half the cost of the shoe, so i chose to just hang on to them. Definitely worth baring this in mind if you're worried they might not fit, definitely not as easy to just exchange them for another size like you can with other shoe vendors online that offer free shipping.
