I like the 18X optical
I like the 18X optical. It would have gotten 5 stars if it were not for two issues. While in night vision mode there are at least a hundred dead pixels that show up as white dots. At first I thought I was looking at stars in the sky, that would have been impressive. However I determined it was built in the sensor and is probably why this camera was reasonably priced. The second issue is while it is in night vision mode and Zoomed a bit it will loose focus and will not refocus unless I "jiggle the handle". Basically I slew the camera or change the Zoom and then it will auto focus. I use it to watch animal night life and gets frustrating when I review a recording to find it was blurry. Doesnt happen every time but often enough to be considered unreliable.I would not buy the camera again. I would look for a better manufacturer.

Overall a pretty rugged security camera with great video quality
Overall a pretty rugged security camera with great video quality. One of the features I was particular looking for was its Pan-Tilt-Zoom capability. Saves you time during setup cause you don't need to pre-set an angle. Didn't measure the angle it can tilt/pan, but as far as I can tell, it's true to the spec. Also it seems to be using mechanical zooming/not digital zooming.Oh, forgot to mention, the night time performance of the camera is incredible!

Watch both of my videos before buying this garbage
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: This is the 3rd camera in two years as of now I have two of them that are doing the same exact thing you can see on the video. I contacted A-Zone customer support who cannot speak English on their facebook page, I had to stay up till 1:30AM ET two different nights to talk to this moron, I showed them this video no answer no solution. buy this garbage at your own risk.Azone impressed me with a defective camera that was only 4X optical zoom, I hated them and ordered 3 different brands all 3 were nothing but a garbage! finally I decided to try the Azone 18X optical zoom ptz. this time no lines, no flickering no problems at all. no ptz or regular camera I ever owned has the image quality Azone has, let me be honest here, I haven't even try to navigate through it during the day time due to its arrival as we were preparing for hurricane Irma but I am dead sure this camera will function even better during the day time. as of now the only problem I have encountered is presets, after scanning and going to 14 presets the camera goes back to main menu where it displays the camera specification, in order to get out of that menu you have to manually unplug the camera from power source for about 3 minutes, this is not normal at all.Still the sellers sent me replacement so that earns them 5 stars.UPDATE: this is the 2nd one to quit on me in less than a year! now there's no way I can give them 2 start!

Buy this at your own risk
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: These cameras last about 90 days, you will forget to take it down and return you will stuck with it. Azone customer service is another most garbage one, try to get help there's no help they have a robot kind idiotic moron who takes days to respond to their facebook message, when they come they have no answer for any technical questions, now I am stuck not just with one but two of these garbages. Not PTZ. This review is for (A-ZONE PTZ Bullet Security Camera AHD 2.0...)This camera has an outstanding image quality with two moving lines at least with the one I received, I love to keep it for so many reasons but the camera is actually "Pan and Zoom only" it does not Tilt remotely or with DVR. The other thing to be very careful about this camera is it cannot be just an add on to any existing DVR system unless you have 4 in 1 or 5 in 1 DVR, I already have 3 different DVRs but non of them supported it, sellers aren't that great of an help but recommended me to buy another model that's much more expensive, I will give it a try since this one is actually defective beside jut not meeting its own description. If you are looking for something that visibly terrorize intruders this is the camera you really want, the pan option can be set to "Auto Scan" where it keeps moving from right to left, its size can scare anyone off your property, it simply is not size of any small cameras on market today.....it is about 3" diameter very clear super quality image.

Great system for our purposes.
I am re-writing this review and raising my rating to a five star from three. I had reported the system had no support for the PTZ function due to no cabling for RS-485. After playing with it for a while I discovered there is PTZ support through the existing cable. It's just (my excuse here for being wrong) not well documented. You'll find it in the Main Menu brought up by right clicking the mouse. It works as expected. That removes all concerns I had about this system. My apologies to A-Zone!! I can't rate the long term performance yet. But in the first few weeks of use we've very much enjoyed the quality of the video. Now finding we can use PTZ, we're very happy with the system. Should mention we are using it as a bird feeder cam so have not evaluated all the automation features. My only remaining concern isn't enough to lower the rating. The wires for ground and RS-485 which hang out of the camera - and which helped cause my confusion - are exposed. Might be a good idea to put electrical tape or something similar on them. Great system so far!
