HP 12C Financial Calculator

All I wanted. Perfect calculator after I had the HP 42 and 42CV

This is a gift to my grandson who will be third generation in the financial services industry. I would never be without this compact incredible little machine to do all the nitty gritty work from Yield to Maturity; Compound and amortized interest calculations; and the everyday little math problems that clients want to see you can handle. I have not changed the battery in my thirty-five year old 12C and I am surprised to see that you can still buy this product today. I love this guy!!

This one has the same key action as the original 12-C! I purchased a replacement for my original when it failed last year (after 35 years), but the key action was terrible and I threw it away because I couldn’t trust that my entries were being consistently accepted. (I had to verify each entry to make sure the data was actually accepted as I keyed.). This new one has the same key action as my original…. I am totally confident in using it!

Finally I got a new one, my first HP 12C last 25 years and a need a new one, the best calculator ever.

I’ve used this calculator for over 30 years for my career in the mortgage industry. They last forever. I spilled tea on the one I had for over 15 years and bought this one thinking mine was ruined, however once it dried out it works fine. Glad I have 2 now, just in case!

The body of the calculator is warped so when I press the keys, the calculator rocks. I added some rubber feet to two opposite corners on the bottom and that helped. I'm surprised that the calculator is warped since it is brand new.
