This is basically like a tent with sides. There’s no bottom except for a thin tent like material. There’s no insert to protect them from bumping their heads, getting hurt from falls, etc.

This play pen is very nice. It is not designed to be a big crib for babies, it’s mainly a fence to help keep babies from wondering around while at the same time having enough space to play or crawl around. The mesh walls allow a nearby parent who is working to keep an eye on the baby inside.The fence is very sturdy and feels strong and durable and it’s height makes it usable for both babies and toddlers. It comes with its own storage or travel bag in case you want to put it away or take it with you on a trip, provided there is enough space for it where you are going. Although I think one door would have been enough, this fence has two doors and comes with a hanging basket you can store some toys in.Overall, this is a very good and sturdy fence.

We recently bought this for our grandson to have while he's at our house - and we're very pleased.This is really big - even bigger than the full size bed we have in our guest room. It's nice to be able to get inside with him. It also allows him the room to crawl inside. The quaity of the fabric and materials is excellent. The frame is padded well so he doesn't hurt himself. Some are plastic but this one is covered in quilted fabric. It closes with an external zipper so as he gets older, he won't be able to open it.One of the things I like best is the height. It's been determined that almost 27" allows your toddler to stand and practice without being able to get out. That's important to us. You can see inside from all sides because it's mesh on the sides - also super important.This is easy to assemble and break down and the carrying case it comes with is super handy.We give this five stars and recommend it to anyone considering purchasing it. This is much larger than I was expecting from the picture. I will admit it I did have to read the instructions but they were easy to follow. It took me 15 minutes to assemble with the help of a toddler and a preschooler. It’s not as easy as the pop up playpens, but it isn’t as hard as I expected. The poles and parts make it seem more complicated than it is. It is actually pretty sturdy too. It is big enough you can get in with your child too. I like the see through mesh too. It’s a nice size that doesn’t seem so cage like and confining but is still safe. I think the price is fair and would recommend it.

Obviously you need a padded playmat for this & basically all playpens.We are using the padded puzzle pieces.Easy to assemble, love the little doors, we leave them open so she can run in and out and play, but when we close them she doesn't mind being locked in because it's so big.Took me about a hour to get together but I had to deal with the baby during that time, you'll probably do it faster.

An important thing to keep in mind is that this baby playpen needs to be set up over a soft surface like carpet or some type of padding because there is no cushioned bottom. I know full well that little ones fall often! So it's just something to keep in mind when considering this. It's a great quality playpen with mesh sides. Easy assembly as well. It comes with a bag for storing all the parts.

This playpen has some good things and some bad.Let’s do the bad first, it has no “flooring” and is basically like a tent. If the baby or toddler falls then they could be hurt.Also, it’s very easy to uncover the top rails which would also result in an injury.Now for the good stuff,, it’s a large rectangular space for the little ones to play safely. Some of the sides have little prints printed on them.You do have a all eyes on angle no matter where u look u will see your baby. When they outgrow this it could be used as a toy storage area. It did also come with a side basket to hold small items, like balls. I have added these colorful mats for safety for my 2 year old. Overall, we are very happy with the product.

So the most important thing to take note is that there is no bottom padding. If you are using this playpen on carpeted flooring or grass patch, that’s great. But if you are using this on concrete or wooden flooring, you will need to be careful.Before purchasing this playpen, I didn’t know that there was no bottom padding. I had to spend extra to purchase the padded flooring as my home had wood flooring.Structure wise, this playpen has 2 entrances and very sturdy. That said my 4 year old toddler is able to climb over the pen. My 18 month old is attempting to copy cat but still hasn’t been able to perform Houdini yet.This playpen is pretty portable and it comes with a carrying bag. I intend to bring it to my in-laws place so that the older folks won’t have a difficult time taking care of my younger son.
