I’ve used this on copper tubing and steel and PVC pipe; it’s also handy for taking the edge off a cut piece of dowel rod.As some others have noted, for OD deburring, one can always use a file. But, as Inspector Callahan cautioned, you’ve got to ask yourself one question ... The improvement with this is night and day.I have a couple of blade-type deburrers, which are OK on PVC pipe, but this tool works better. And it’s much better on most everything else. Wish I had gotten one years ago.

I know what you're thinking... How can this tiny little reaming tool be worth approx. $40.00.Before I began using these, I thought the same but several plumbers and electrician friends let me try theirs and I was instantly sold!It's really not until you look closely inside this reamer that you see an extremely high-tech, very highly detail reaming system, something looking almost sci-fi.The many sharp ribs cut and smooth with very little effort and because they fill the tube, you don't need to spin the reamer completely around the pipe. It really does bevel an chamfer with little effort.If you watch YouTube plumbing videos as most guys do, you'll see this Ridgid tool in most of them.Great tool, absolutely worth the cost. Hope to have this for many years.

Take full advantage of the 45 cutting edges in this design versus the one to four blades on inferior low cost reamers. This reamer works quickly for inside or outside. Sits well even if the edge is uneven. Results are nearly always guaranteed after just a few twists versus twist and check, twist and check... What you save in time and frustration will easily cover the price.

After having used a few imitations, I broke down and bought the real thing.It is not cheap compared to the imitations but man does it perform.Firstly, there are many more blades than the cheaper versions so each turn yields more cutting. A few turns of the pipe and you are done.Do not cut your pipe over aggressively and leave a huge lip on the inside of the pipe.Take your time with a few more turns while cutting, reduce the lip size and deburring will be much much easier too.
