Very quiet. Great value for the price
This is a great value for the price. It’s very quiet and the resistance level is fine for me. You have to shift to change resistance for this product, which is what I would expect in this price range. The assembly instructions are not good and I couldn’t find anything better on the web that was specific for this product.. You have to buy a cassette that matches your bike. Installing the cassette was a learning process for me. You have to have a cassette ring lock tool. I would recommend ordering the cassette and locking tool with the trainer. Depending on the cassette size, you may need to use the included spacer ring when you install the cassette. If the cassette is still loose after hand tightening, you probably need the spacer. You can reset the remote sensor by placing a battery in backwards for 3 seconds. I needed to do this to get a connection. Don’t screw the sensor back in after installing the batteries. You will have to remove the sensor to reset it or change the batteries. If you screw it in, you’ll have to remove your bike from the trainer to get it back out.

Do not buy this trainer
Don't waste your money. I cannot get the Bluetooth to connect. I sent an email to the company support email address listed on the web page and in the manual. I have followed up with an additional email. It's been 2 weeks with no response from the company. At this time it's no better than a cheap trainer as all I can do is pedal and shift gears. Connecting it to another app will never work without the Bluetooth connectivity. I should have saved my money and purchased a better brand.

The Product App is unavailable
I had my previous trainer stand for 10 years, but the tension pins have lost their strength. This trainer is only an improvement in that you are mounted securely, but that is the only upgrade. The Kinetic Fit app for this product isn't available, so the built-in sensor is useless.

The best value inn trainers…
I am an avid bike rider, and have used all sorts of trainers. Everything from rollers to drive wheel, trainers and direct drive trainers. In my opinion, direct drive trainers are the most realistic in terms of bike field at the pedals..There are many direct drive trainers that can run over $1000. After all of my experiences with this trainer., I am not convinced that anything over $400 is way over priced and clearly a rip off. This trainer offers all the features of the thousand dollar trainers, including Bluetooth and Ant+ Connectivity, speed and distance, output, and even power output. For an additional $30 you can buy a cadence sensor and heart rate sensor., which gives you five different professional metrics to measure and monitor your fitness. Typically all of these various sensors are on the thousand dollar trainers. This unit is fairly compact and the legs food so you can store the unit against the wall or in a closet. It is very sturdy as I am a big guy weigh 200 pounds and it doesn’t even so much as creak under my weight. The unit is very quiet, and I can easily hear sound from my TV with low volume over the sound of this trainer. Are use my trainer with the online workout app Zwift and it is amazing! I can monitor and record all five health metrics in the software, while I get to ride with other virtual members around the world. All for just $14 a month.if you’re looking for a really solid trainer that has the functions of $1000 unit I would highly recommend this trainer over any other direct drive trainer.

Good for the price , don’t expect a lot of features
If you don’t need the fancy features then this is great to train with your actual bike. It’s relatively quite and can be used while watching tv, easy to mount bike. Require cassette and tools install.

Not A Smart Trainer
This is NOT a smart trainer. It is a simple, unadjustable resistance trainer with a speedometer and cadence sensor built in. This trainer is no different than my old CycleOps wheel-on magnatrainer with speedometer and cadence sensors on the bike, and is actually far less adjustable. I am a long-time Rouvy user and was hoping for automatic resistance changing in the trainer itself. No, still have to shift into higher gears to simulate climbs. On the plus side, I had no connectivity issues with either the Kinetic Fit app or Rouvy. It is more quiet than my wheel-on trainer. But if noise is not an issue, save yourself a bunch of money and buy a simple wheel-on trainer and bluetooth speed and cadence sensors for your bike.

Quiet and smooth, but power readings are incredibly inaccurate
Pros: A quiet direct drive trainer. It was straightforward to setup and compared to my old wheel on trainer, a vast improvement in the lives of other folks who live in my house.Cons: The power reading coming from the trainer is incredibly inaccurate despite following the calibration routines on more than one occasion. (Ride for 20 minutes, then do the calibration).Following this, doing a simultaneous comparison with my crank arm power meter showed the numbers from the trainer at approximately 30% lower. I use Zwift for winter training, so this is rather unfortunate. If you need a cheap, quiet trainer, this is fine for putting in some hours. As far as I can tell, the power calculation is based on the speed of the flywheel mechanism in the trainer and largely has nothing to do with the actual torque on the cassette. Ceasing to pedal and letting the flywheel spin down will continue to show power being outputted for several seconds. Putting in a hard effort will show the power slowly coming up over a similar amount of time. This would be fine if it was even within 10% or so after calibration. It is not.

Kinetic has been sold to Magene
I had issues with the bluetooth connection and tried to reach out to customer service which was very difficult and I never actually got through to them. I was able to email a employee of Kinetic's sister company (Kurt Manufacturing) and was advised that Kinetic has been sold to Magene (the RS Trainer is a rebranded Magene T100) and was advised that is has been a fairly common occurrence of poor customer service from them.To have this much difficulty in trying to get ahold of support just days after purchasing the trainer does not give me confidence in the long term support. Therefore, I returned it.If I didn't have connection issues, I would have kept this trainer. Its inexpensive and fills a unique spot in the market (between the wheel on trainers and the smart trainers that interact with training programs like Zwift). So if it works without issues, it seems like a great product.

Use Magene utility app!
No documentation in the box, no instructions. The kinetic app doesn't work. Found out this is a magene t100 and used the magene utility app to get it to connect.Overall for the price it's decent, but consider that the manufacturer abandoned the kinetic app it seems, fortunately a workaround is there. Also some instructions would have been nice

parts missing
so many parts were missing. there were not even screws in the box for you to assemble it, let alone the spacers and skewers to attach the bike to.
