I purchased two and then later purchased two more - the generous size makes it easy to serve pasta in a visually pleasing way.

I bought two mainly for the high lip (or collar). I've used them for dishes with sauces etc so that I can sit semi-reclining and nothing spills off the edge onto my lap. I have also used them as excellent serving dishes for get togethers for appetizers. Tonight a friend brought over two large meals from a Columbian restaurant that had a wide range of foods-- skirt steak, chicheron, plantains, breaded chicken cutlets, fried eggs, rice and beans and a tangy sauce. I served some of everything in the two plates and it worked very well. The plates are large, deep, somewhat heavy and quite good looking having a kind of swirled marble look. Glad I bought them.

These dishes are great! Goes with so many styles and can be used with casual or more formal dining. Great size for a serving bowl or even a large entree salad.

I was looking at a different brand but this style of plate bowl with the marble. Simce they currently have a coupon I decided to order and purchased 4 sets. I received them very well packaged - super impressed. I am pleased with my purchase and definitely recommend.
